Cost. My machine shop charges almost double to do a valve job, decking, etc on a DOHC 16V head as opposed to a SOHC 16V and funding is kinda short ATM.
And since I no longer have access to the garage I did all my previous work in and I'm now doing all of this in the tire shop I work at, my resources are limited for fab work and I like the idea of having one less mount and no firewall chopping to worry about.

BP throttle body bolts on and is functionally exactly the same but about 5mm bigger. Once I get my intake back from the hot tank I'll be port matching it to that.

Is there such a thing as a #$%*ing B8ME cam that's not pitted to bunk at the tip of at least 2 exhaust lobes? I pulled 6 out of the boneyards today and they were all that way.

Also there is interference with the peanut shaped combustion chambers and my miata pistons, but it's not much, a quick shave with a carbide will take care of that.

Got my stuff back from the shop. The sticky on the intake that says INJECTION lost all it's ink in the hot tank so I filled it back in.

        (also SMOKING KILLS k?)

Sweet truck! Also, LOVE the sticker on the intake. You should TOTALLY have that ball milled into an aluminum plate and stick it on there
If a hammer doesn't fix it you have an electrical problem

Ball milling isn't ghetto enough. I might do the old 'vinyl cutout+sandblasting' trick though.

Truck's got issues, I can't get the insurance inspection signed off for a while because the "mechanics" at my shop are "overbooked" (lousy parts changers- I did 30 hours of OT on my last paycheck doing zoom boom and backhoe tires and they're whining about having to work 3 hours OT a week doing tie rods and brake pads). End result: the festy WILL be swapped and back on the road by monday-a week from monday at the very latest or I get a bus pass.

                The good news:

It won't take much to get there now.
