    Love the wheels! Hopefully I'll be checking out Minigun again real soon!! NovaSS is creating quite the piece of rolling art! Good luck with yours!

          yeah but according to his sig its a duke and an auto

          i had one, poor cars are gutless wonders. I still have an 85gt sitting in storage though!

          anyways to the OP, Good luck! i was going to build a mid-engine festiva for my next project but bought an old VW instead since it already came with the engine in back

            Thanks guys , and yes they are.

            Plus they are 4X100 AND 4X114 , so I can either use the aspire or the festy brakes/kit.

              ^^ how would that work in the rear if your using the SHO sub-frame? Do you plan to use the SHO spindles? Cause I thought they were 5 bolt which wouldn't match the rims

                  Im buying new SHO bearings (comes with uninstalled hubs) , then they are off to a machine shop who will make them 4X100 or 4X114 depending on whats feasable.

                    16 x 7 is what I used on the front too, I went to a 205 / 40 / 16 tire, anything else is too tall. Even then you have to "massage" a little inside the fender well with a hammer. The rear you can use just about anything, I went 245 / 40 / 17 on 17 x 9

                      Yes but you have the sho front susp , on the front of your festy , while I got all the festy susp up front. I have no idea what's gonna happen though - with my crazy offset wheels.

                        I dont think the type of mount ( festiva vs sho ) is going to make much differance, to get the ride height low enough with a 16" wheel / tire with out eating up tires is pretty hard. I had 205 50 16 on mine to start they were about 24.5 " tall, (the 205 40 16 are 22") even with the short 22" tire its close. as it sits rigth now the front only has about 3" travel before stuff starts rubing.

                            Just trying to help prevent some mistakes I made !

                            If I was to do it over I would just do an aspire swap and screw all the work I didnt trying to make the SHO front end work.
                            Its not that Im not happy with the way it turned out but its just too much wok, time and money spent and Im sure the results will not be much different between the two different set ups. The festiva/ aspire system should react faster because its a lighter set up

                              Thanks , and yes I hear you - you were basicly the pioneer that tried to re-create a shogun that is this close to completion - therefor some mistakes were made. You cant go around it.

                              Same with me with my SHO engine in my 2002 taurus , theres some stuff I would do differently , that would cost alot less for the same result.


                              By the way , the cage is done , the subframe was modified to bolt in. Im currently painting it. Engine and tranny goes in next week.

                                Subframe modded to fit my setup so that all 4 subframe bolts are upside down like in all taurii.
