I've seen you on CP. I don't understand why they said that. Because of the Festiva? I rather have a Festiva than a Protege anyday. A Festiva doesn't look much different than some of the older Mazda either.

The comment comes from the Festiva not being able to handle the power. Heck my BP Festiva twists so much that the roof pops.

I am fully aware that the economic chassis of the fest can't handle the power.

I do not plan on putting this much power in a stock chassis.

I just don't get why people think I'm an idiot. I've been a professional auto Tech for ten years. I've been Modding cars since my teens. I own my own welder and plasma cutter. I can do this.

That explains it. Kids online judge credentials by how good you are at PS3, not by the fact that you are a fully capable technician.

Tell them this "Yo, I wuz crazy on Grand Theft Auto 34 last nitez. Then I killz a few playaz on Halo4. I'm gonna rigz up my Proto wit LED's in the seat beltzz. Gon B Tite!"

Tell them & they'll love you as one of their own. Later Player. YOZ!

Here's my point of view......... If i would have started a thread asking about putting a KL into my festiva BEFORE i did it, i probably would have gotten reponses saying "it'll never fit" "your stupid to think it'd fit" etc.

Since i just researched the swap quietly, and instead of asking, i just found out for myself if it'd fit and look at the outcome

If the FE3 uses a G series transmission (sorry i'm not too familiar with the FE3's) then you can use the Capri XR2 axle set, worst case, if the FE3 trans is 28 spline, do as i did and swap the diff for a 26 spline and your good to go

How much HP is the FE3T rated at? Considering a festiva has seen 304 WHP without chassis strengthening, i'd think it'd be safe with an FE3T

2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

I've seen a couple of 500, 600, 800+ WHP claims from FE3N's. I think, I've seen one of the FE3N 323's run down the track that is making one of the claims.

As far as your point of view, you are right. One of my teachers used to say:
"If you tell people you have survived in the wilderness without food or water, then people will praise you & say you're amazing & want to hear more....BUT if you tell people that you are going to try to survive in a wilderness without food or water, they will tell you you're an idiot & don't want to hear another word."

Yeah, I think the V6 in a Festiva is a prime example of this. And I have something in the works myself that I'm not telling everyone online, because I know how they will react.

Just keep us (ff.com) up on it and prove the naysayers wrong. I have seen your work and have no doubt what so ever that you can do it. We got your back! Lol.

I believe it's possible as well, if you start a build thread on the swap, I'm sure people will chime in giving advice/tips along the way
