No way. It WILL fit. If it can be done to a 323 it needs to be done to a festiva. I measured the KL for an aspire but junked the car before i went engine shopping. I knew it was a matter of time. KL's are in 323's too. It WILL take some frame mods but how much more aggressive than pulley clearance for a/c? Let's all hope marginal. Only problem is unlike a BP and getting away with an e trans you're pretty much committed to transaxle upgrade which pushes it more into crazy fabbing zone. Don't let the dream die! heh

Whats the best way when you "give up" and go tubular? Take the subframe from the donor and squish it in or start from scratch?

^^keep in mind the 323's that are getting the FE3's are BG chassis, not BF 323's which share the same chassis as festiva's, so they'd probably have more to work with as compared to festiva's

a good comparison is that I had to notch my frame for my KL pulley's to clear, 323 guys have the room for the pulley's

        1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

I thought I've seen the BD chassis get it. I think I might have posted the link on this thread of one also.

I could probably get it to fit inside the rails. F2t came withe g series. Capri axles would work. With a holset and rediculous amounts of boost, trans wont hold. Toyota trans will. The axles for the Camry are wider. Totally fine cause I want wide in the front anyway.

This is going to be A DRAG ONLY CAR.

No air conditioning. Yes it will have a cage. Yes it will have slicks. No I won't give any of y'all rides

^^If you plan to one day use the toyota trans, be prepared to make a tube frame front-end

have you seen a comparison pic of the G series compared to the E153 as far as the physical size? the E153 is MUCH larger, and i would dam near garentee it will not fit without major frame mods

F2t came with h series bigger than the g series but still weak. FS had the g series.

If your doing tube frame and yota box might as well make it 4wd while your at it.

i dont know if awd will work well for drag.
i just dont know if the short wheel base of the fest will do well with awd.

I would ditch the manual trans altogether and go with a yvanomatic...
