  • Devon527's build Thread

Okay so I thought it was time for me to make a build thread, not necessarily with a motor... yet, but what I have done to it so far. I'll start with pictures from the day I got it up till now. It may not be much but I would liek to do it just to know how much I truly have done to my Festy

Here it was the day I got it, words cant explain how excited I was when I took this!

Here are a set of geo metro 13's I painted black and put on, I really liked them!

    Starting the round headlight conversion

Just a quick set-up when putting in the round headlights

    Finished product!

Painted my interior black because I hated the brown...

The grey peices are now more of a gunmetal grey and look way better than this!

Then I needed more light on the dash, bought a strip of green LED's for $1.00 and put them in, pictures dont do it justice, its pretty bright and actually more of a lime green

    Then I got my spoiler

And today now clear turn signals and orange bulbs, and nissan sentra wiper arms

Woo sorry guys, didnt realize I had so many pictures, more to come!

I think I am going to build myself a hatch cover now that I have the back seat in. It will also be nice to hide my sub so that people wont see it and try to steal it (Bad area where I work). So hopefully I can get this busted out and have myself a hatch cover!

Okay so yesterday I drove and got a new motor and 5 speed tranny with 110,xxx miles. Put it in the back of my car... I thought the oil was already out of it when I put it in there, I was wrong. I was so excited to get the motor and be on my way that I didnt even check.

I started pulling the motor out today and realized there was alot of oil under the carpet and in the carpet, my spare tire hole acted like a catch basin for it all. So not only am I doing a motor swap, I will be puttin in a new interior (At least the carpet).

The motor had a valve cover leak, and it is very sandy and windy so it stuck to the motor while it sat. Here are some pictures of it.

Motor and The guy I bought it from in the back. LOL Wish it was that low

Tore the carpet out yesterday, there was a ton of oil in the back and some came to the front. This was part of it.

How does this look guys? This is the new motor I bought, good bad?

Golden-brown is good I think, that's regular oil changes for the average person, I believe the cheaper oils begin to stain the metal.

i pullled the valve cover off my 2002 ford f150 with 400 000kms and it looks like that, it all depends on how often oil changes were and how well the person changed filters and took care of the motor,

by the looks of yours it looks great!!!!!!!! when are you going to boost it
