Haven't done much due to being at uni most of the time. Got a couple of weeks before test so i started getting back to it.

Pulled out the g series and washed off the oven cleaner that's been sitting on the gearbox for a while, and starting prepping for paint. Bought some neat wire brushes that can be attached to the drill.

Im still undecided in colour, im thinking either machinery gray or using fine grit sand paper and putting on a clear coat.

Yeah, it's got lots of little chips in the metal, going to take a lot of detail.

Polished tranny looks so good and probably out of place is a festiva.

Ok so ive hit a bit of a roadblock. The festiva is currently not registered and doesn't have a road worthy certificate, and turns out I need something that's called a "modifcation plate" because im putting a new engine in(1.8). And that generally runs at about 600-750 dollars. Which puts me in a bit of a pickle, the e series tranny i have, the clutch is gone so i dont want to buy a new clutch for the e then a new clutch for the g series.

Fortunately i know someones who is parting out with a laser which is like a 4 door escort but with a carb b6. So i grabbed a:

                    - F series hyrdo tranny with flywheel clutch etc
                    - both axles
                    - the hydro lines and speedo cable
                    - brake master cylinder and clutch master cylinder
                    - the front bracket and forth bracket

                    ALL FOR FREE!!!!!!!

So the plan is to set up the hydro f series with the b3 then get a road worthy and hopefully they dont notice the new radiator support. Then i can put in the bp with the g.

Bought a 98 wf festiva (aspire) parts car yesterday. I was told it was in a front end crash but everything runs fine. Starts first go, all the suspension is solid and bought it for only 400 dollars. Then plan is to sell everything i dont need from it and i should make about 300 off that.

Most of the panels and all the windows are good. So i can sell those on ebay.

                          Interior is dirty but intact.

The radiator and air con condenser is totaled, im going to try sell the ac pump and pipes but i dont know if it works.

The engine runs nice, going to have to rebuilt it though.

Im a little confused by this there's no maf or vaf but what seems to be a temp sensor???

if people are looking for parts you will easily make your $400 bucks back.. are you doing the suspension swap you got at least 4 spare usable tyres that could easily go for $100+
Go on the aspire forums and sell most of it there.. good job on the find. i need mine..
