    Ordered both LCAs
Got a set of rio struts (still need to cut the springs)
Finished and installed the battery box in the trunk
    Cut the aspire rotors
Painted the rear beam ( still need to spray the bottom with truck bed liner)
I have the poly rear beam bushings but need to mod them and install on the rear beam.

I'm having trouble sourcing wheels. I really would like a set of older VW aluminum 13"s. So far every seller on craiglist has totally flaked out on me.

Now that the battery is out of the way. I was able to install the 4th mount. The U shaped bracket is just welded to the starter bracket. The other ends is welded to the frame rail. Unfortunately is just slapped some paint on before I took any pics of the welds. They looked pretty good for mig and are tied in well to both pieces of metal.

Installed my 2010 wrx rear springs on a set of 02 rio struts. They are a direct swap with no cutting required for stock ride height.

Installed a set of new lower control arms.

Finished painting my aspire rear beam and machined out the poly bushings.

Also picked up a set of old VW 13's, I might need to run spacers in the front for these, and I definitely will need ball seat lug bolts.

I cant decide what to buy now a set of 13" tires or aspire rear struts. I have a limited budget...

Small update. The wrx springs made the car sit too high and when cut they were too short to maintain contact during full extension. Ended up cutting 02 rio springs and installing them on 04 rio struts.
For the rear I have cut aspire front springs on aspire monroe struts.

Hopefully next week I'll order tires for my 13s. I got escort tie rod ends, and a set of camber bolts for the front. The rear beam is ready to install when I get tires. I need to machine some wheel centering rings, get longer wheel bolts or studs, and pb blast my brake hose connections for the aspire brake swap.

            Big update.
Aspire rear beam and drums installed.
Aspire front knuckles and camber bolts installed
Picked up a set of 13" Honda vx enkei's and powder coated them chrysler orange. I think they turned out amazing. I'm running 1/2" spacers but they should fit without. The trick to Honda wheels is that you have to stud the hubs and run honda lugnuts ,they are domed.

I still need to bleed the brakes and align it. I have a feeling that the the brake pedal is gonna be absolute mush until I get a better master cyl.
Also need to finish up my centering rings on my buddies lather.
It's possible I might need a very slight roll on the fender, but I doubt it.

Well I figured out I need a 91-96 escort master cyl. Ordered one but wont get it till next week.

I worked on bleeding the brakes for now and ran into a big problem. My right caliper is binding and one of the pins is locking up when I hit the brake. It moves fine by hand, but when it's on the car it binds. I'm gonna put a replacement on tomorrow and hopefully that fixes it. If I slam on the brakes I can get the left to lock but not the right. The pedal feels like absolute trash, and I can wait to get the egt mc on.

Also the rear drums have not self adjusted yet. How exactly does that work on this car? Most self adjusters that I am experienced with adjust by slamming the brakes on in reverse.

Pull the dust covers off, back the nuts off, pull the drum, and use a screwdriver as a wedge on the adjuster to reset them. That's all I know.

Well the adjusters were reset fully to get the drums on. And there is an access hole in the back to reset them without pulling the drums off. I might be able to tighten them through that hole as well. I'll give it a try on the lift after work tomorrow

to set the adjusters, apply the brakes and then also apply the e-brake. the adjusters (if they aren't frozen) will set themselves.

the e-brake arm MUST be easily moveable for it to work properly.

Thanks for that info. It should work fine then, I just replaced the shoes, wheel cylinders, and freed up and lubed all of the hardware

Well I got the rear drums to adjust (I think). Replaced the right front caliper, and it is still twisting when I hit the brakes. I'm thinking the car I got the swap from may have been hit and my knuckle may have bent caliper mounts. If the mounts are bent it would explain why the caliper is binding up the way that it is. Off to the JY in the morning to try and find another knuckle.

I gotta say the brake pedal sucks! The festy mc is just way to small and I can't even get the brakes to lock up when I slam on the brakes. Hopefully the escort mc fixes that.

I did take the car out for a pretty serious beatdown and I'm blown away by the handling. The car handles so we that i can almost always just hold the gas pedal to the floor around every turn. I'll make another run after the alignment with my gopro and record a video.
