I spent about a hour on it before I realized that I needed to hop on the forums and ask. Thanks alot though. I should have the engine installed and starting on the engine wiring harness tomorrow. Wanting to get this sucker running before my bro makes it home from basic.

Got the engine dropped in and bolted up. swapped out the engine harness and got everything plugged back in. Got my steering column swapped out and my pedal assymbly swapped. Still need to swap out the fuel pump, hook shifter up, hook exhaust up, and replace the tie rods and it should be ready to fire up for the first time. For those that don't know, my build started with just a shell. No suspension, engine, anything.

Im feeling really accomplished right now.

Thanks to all that helped me out.

oh ya, IMHO the hardest thing to do was swapping out my black antenna for a chrome one. Running the wire through the pillar was a total pain.

The engine has been in for a few days now. alittle late on the pictures but here is how it sits right now.

I still got alot of stuff to install/replace. Its slowly comming together. So far at this point I havent spent a dime on it yet, well except for some paint but other then that its been a totally cost free build.

Went out and done some more stuff to my festiva. Here is some pics:

Took out the auto pedals and steering column

Got the manual pedals and new booster installed

Got the steering column swapped out too

Going to get alot more done through out the day. Had to come in and get a nice big glass of tea and cool off.

I assume I need to swap the gas pedals too? For some reason the auto gas pedal dont press down near as much as the manual pedal does?

Ouch! Went out to swap out fuel pumps and never thought to check to see if there was any fuel in the tank. pulled the pump out and found this:

After sitting there thinking about how it has had a full tank of fuel since 1998 I went ahead and drained the tank and installed this:

The tank still probably has some nasties in it but shouldn't be no worries. A couple fuel filters should fix the problem.

Lots of hard work ,I've been there . I still say we should do a group build when your bro gets home . Good luck with that fuel tank ,looks like an on going problem to me .
New build on the way .

Thanks for the response good sir. Between me you and my brother, we could build a festy no problem. I have a feeling I might run into more troubles out of the fuel system but right now I just need to know that my half resurected zombiestiva is going to fire up and try to run. Afterwords Ill go back and work out the kinks. I still need to remove the straight pipe exhaust off my old fester and install it.

haha build from the ground up and she is already wanting to start and run. messed around aliittle bit. threw the ecu in and hooked up a battery. Turned the ignition over and she fired on the first try. it would have probably ran but the gas is 12+ years old. Im so Freaking happy right now. Will get pictures and possibly a first start video later. Zombistiva you will run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great. Keep up the good work. Get the old gas out. You dont want that in your injectors. By the looks of your pump/sending unit, you will need to source a good used or new tank.
