Im just riding with what I got for now. Im going to shake the tank up real good and then drain it. After a few fuel filters it should be clean. I know I should probably take more care when it comes to the fuel system but if it comes down to it I will drop the tank. I just got done installing all the duct work and the dash. heater blower all works. Right now Im gonna go back out and chip away all the carpet glue and get the floor board ready for some herculiner. Im gonna bed liner the whole floorboard and run without carpet for now.

Does anyone know if the speedo cable come through the triangular metal part where the steerring column bolt to or does it come around the side? i ran it through the triangle thing but dont have enough slack to hook it to the cluster. Oh ya I forgot to add. I fired the engine up again and it sat and idled untill I heard a whoosh from the rear of the car. Engine died so I went to the back to see what the noise was and my fuel line blew out. Ya she was sitting there puring and then the engine died. I figured the fuel filter got clogged up or something but fuel was just spraying out under the car so im just going to fix the leak for now and then later im going to go back through and replace the fuel lines with some steel braided lines. You dont have a spare good windshield do ya shadetree?89L build thread http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=36422

This is great! "Zombiestiva!" What a great name. Back from the DEAD!
I also think you're out-mutting my Mutt!
My only advice is to take care of that gas tank infection and check and preferably, REPLACE, all your hard brake and fuel lines. These cars are getting really old and steel lines just weren't meant to last forever, even on Zombies! (You've had one line blow out, so you can probably expect more.)
Now realize that brake lines can corrode from the inside out, due to water collecting in old unchanged brake fluid. I'd replace them even if they look okay from outside. Maybe I'm wrong. Ask Festyboy...
I didn't take any chances so I replaced ALL my hard lines and brake hoses.
Karl'93GL "Prettystiva" ticking B3 and 5 speed, backup DD; full swaps in spring!
'91L "AquaMutt" my '91L; B6 swap/5 speed & Aspire brakes, DD/work car
'92L "Twinstiva" 5sp, salvage titled, waiting for repairs...
'93GL "Luxstiva," '94 B6 engine & ATX; needs overhauled
'89L "Muttstiva," now a storage bin, future trailer project

Ya im in the middle of that process right now. Just sent all my brake parts with my brother to have them exchanged. Yesterday I got the LCA's replaced and the tie rod ends also. The inners seem stiff so I assume they are good. Bearings looked ok but I didnt replace them. Have to get the car rolling to see if they are worn out or not. Probably go out later and take care of a rust spot I found.89L build thread http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=36422
