  • ^looking good tim

today me and tim got some work done on it... we took out most of the sound system stuff... and also installed that walbro fuel pump i got... it fit very nice with some thinking, tweaking and cutting, but its in, and should work good, i may need to upgrade the fuel lines to 3/8ths to keep up with the amount of fuel its gonna need when i start making alot of power but for now i should be fine... when i get more time to work on it ill be doing:

    porting the head
    exhaust cam swap
    cleaning everything
    putting on the front bumper
    lots of other little things...

im gonna aim for 300hp for next year

also gotta find a diffrrent clutch and a trans lol... i dont think they willl hold...

        • Get a huge racing clutch and find a more bulletproof 5-speed. Perhaps rebuild yours?

I saw there was a group buy on some transmission casing re-enforcements on club protege would that handle the power?

I swear its just the way you drive it, ive raced and bagged my b6T with a stock festy trans (except lsd) and I've never blown up a gearbox yet.

Also will you be keeping the stock subframe?

                        • im not a fan of the white header or the grey block but the header will be swapped out for a log manifold for the turbo and the block can allways get some princess auto flat black... (the BEST color of ALL TIME!!!!) i may need to go and pick that bad boy up and get zippy thrown back together...

updates will come soon, im seeing alot of nice cars comming out to play on the streets, and im itching to get mine out there... for this year i think ill just boost on a stock motor, the only mods will be a MLS head gasket and a set of ARP studs... that should hold 10 psi no problem... other mods for this year will be new fuel injectors, 255 fuel pump, 6AN fuel lines and maybe a stronger clutch... (the one i got slipped once when ripping it behind the shop but i dont know if it just needs to burn off some junk off the disk or its not holding the power... we will see...)
