Great work. This is like what would happen if freshtiva swapped engines on a regular basis.

I go by your place around 4-5 am, it's on my paper route. (shouldn't leave your hood open) lol
The activity I saw was across the street at the repair shop, he had two for awhile thought they were yours. And those injectors will work, I know im running them on one of the festys. Can't remember witch one though.

The only other white one I've seen for awhile is over on vine street. He won't sell it though, hes an older guy and it's one owner. Kevin the preacher had two red ones, not sure if he still does. And the yard out on N road had or has 3 or 4 but he's a little high on prices.
          That about covers stover.

Someone told me there's a red one toward Versailles on d road for sale, if your interested.

aspire injectors are comfirmed worky then...sweet! there's no motor in the green one so I don't mind leaving the hood open haha. They were indeed over at armstrongs for a while swapping original motors since my brother was going to use the white one to drive back & forth to J.C. but ended up leaving me w/half the bill after he moved out. I bought these 2 from Kevin & I purchased my first Red Festiva from the guy who runs the N Parts yard. He's a bit high though but bought it for $650 sold it shortly after but was in decent shape.

Wow, this is making me think twice about just doing the minimal to get my '93 GL back on the road. I was gonna throw rings in put it back together and call it a day, but you're making me want to tear into to even more for more restoration! Keep up the good work!
              No festiva for me ATM...

My fiance is amazing, no complaining about getting rid of the festy here...She loves it & could'nt wait to get dirty cleaning engine bay up a bit.

Big racoon? Straighten out the metal below the bumper

When Installing the Power Rack & Pinion I noticed the input shafts that you slide into the Pinch bolts were different. On the manual (pic below) it does'nt matter where the bolt slides through but on the power it has to be positioned a ceretain way & had to turn the steering wheel upside down in order for everything to come togethor. I will just flip the steering wheel later on to correct this.

Installed, Killed my boot cover that goes over the joints though.

Dirt wasps seem to find a home on my Struts.

Noticed I was missing 2 trans bolts..mmm wonder where I put them? oh crap I used them to mount the old festy motor on the Engine stand.

oops, it fell. It did'nt want to stay on the blocks I set up for Landing pad.

1 Crossmember bushing was toast so took 1 from parts car.

Getting the urge to stuff it in but Not just yet

Broke 2 bolt heads off...SNAP! :eeeeeek: Remember, In. Pounds is'nt the same as ft. pounds... FAIL!

Whew, that was'nt fun but got them both out!

Nice man, this is a fun thread to follow, and I gotta commend you for refurbing another festy, they're great little cars and 'they' don't make em like they used to! Whats the tool kit you have there above the ez outs? I break bolt heads all the time, usually cause rust that pbblaster won't help. I broke a crossmember bolt head off and had to drill it out and cut a piece of pipe as a sleeve for the new bolt/nut. Looks like your cars almost ready for some pavement pounding tho! You should check into some Kia Rio struts and springs, you wouldn't have needed power steering with em, but they'll still be easier on your steering rods/rack.

The Craftsman set are Bolt Extractors also but are only good if the there is something left to grab onto. The blue screw extractors are good for bolt heads that you Can't grab onto anything & leaves you to drilling into them for removal. Both of these tools are on my top list for garage tools they have saved my butt more than once. Sears has the craftsman set & Orielly's has the other set. I might check into the Rio struts but w/the P/S it would probably be overkill for these little cars haha

Trans Mount & Denso O2 Sensor (picked up the sensor from carpartscloseouts.com for $21.88 Shipped) not bad for OEM Replacement direct fit. It was fun getting the motor/tranny mounts lined up.

Drained the Trany. I used some trans fluid my dad brought over & in the process of pouring it I realized its pretty dark..Kinda makes me wonder if he dumped some old oil in with these. I'm going to drain it again & buy some myself for safe measure.

Some more of those pesky dobbers on my Radiator.

The shop that the car was in cut the Speedo cable :nono: so had to grab one from parts car...glad they did'nt cut this one as the parts stores can't even get them anymore.

Got most everything back in & mounted.

Tried to fire it up but was intermittant connection & starter would'nt engage at all. Everytime I put the positive then negative on there was some strange clicking noise coming from the Dash & the radiator fan came on running really slow. I did some thinking & ended up putting the batt. on charge for the night. Hooked it back up, headlights came on, & flashers were engaged (that was the weird clicking noise issue lol) so the batt. was about dead but still did'nt fix my intermittent issue on connection. I did some more thinking. Took the negative battery cable completely off & cleaned all connections (sanding them) the replaced both batt. connectors with some beefy ones.

Sanded negative body mount shown in this pic.

Replaced the Negative & car fired right up...My Issue? It is idling extremely high. All of the Throttle & Dashpot screws are within specs. I looked at parts car one & seem to be the same adjustments. Turned the distributor & it idled down some but still needs to come way down. This engine is reved really high

Is there coolant in the rad? I had the same problem and realized i didn't have enough coolant, I felt pretty stupid.
