    Figured it was time to update the thread. Hopefully, I'll be able to close this thing out shortly. A lot has happened, but most of it I have already posted in different threads. So, to bring this thread current and complete;

    First: Someone stole the front wheels and tires from the car......still have no leads and their probably gone forever. The factory 12" wheels will go back on the car until I can figure out what direction I want to go.

    Second: I made a custom gauge panel from a piece of an old dash bezel. Turned out real nice....looks even better in the car!

    Third: The new B6 is installed. The swap came out looking like a factory option. There were a couple very simple issues with the swap, most centered around the larger B6 intake manifold, but nothing that the average guy with hand tools couldn't fix. All in all, it was truely a "bolt-in". I did spend a small amount of money on new Stainless button head cap screws for the valve cover and various brackets.

    Fourth: I fired it up last week and ran it for 20 minutes @ 2500RPM to break in the cam. The engine started first round and ran like a top. Throttle response was awsome.....oil pressure, not so much, LOL. 40Lbs @ cold start, 20Lbs @ 2500RPM (hot) and only 3-5Lbs @ hot idle. I'm 99.99% sure the problem is a leak between the case and cover on the oil pump. I have a new pump shipping from Rock Auto ($66) and I should get it installed later this week. You can also see that the clear coat on the exhaust manifold shield tunred a slightly gold color above the #1 exhaust port. I'm guessing that cylinder #1 is a little lean....possibly a partly clogged or weak injector. I'm not concerned at this point. As soon as I get the oil pressure figured out and get the thing on the road, I'll address the tuning issues.

            Thanks! It really isn't fair to call this a swap, but I did do a ton of clean-up and detail during the process. I still left some things to do for future fun. I had planned on installing new LCA's an Poly sway bar bushings, making a strut brace, short throw shifter and some other things. That stuff will have to wait for next spring.

            Thanks Karl! I plan on putting it up for FOTM again (last time I lost). I still have a few "goodies" laying around to install before I do that. Lets see......I have.....-a silver NOS hockey stick stripe set- a set of new factory Kia Pride mud flaps (no logo)-a factory fog light switch to go with the factory Ford/Marchal fog lights (NOS for a Ranger GT)-a mid-hatch spoiler lip...the FMS one...not 121 style (don't think I've seen another one on here)-a black 3-spoke steering wheel (classic Grant)-a LH "dead pedal" foot rest from a Mustang (love 'em)First thing on the list is a custom 2.25" exhaust with mandrel bends. I'll buy the pieces from Speedway and weld it up. When I got it in the air and the welder out, I'll also weld a rod in the rear beam (ala' Aspire) and attempt a shifter mod. I plan on extending the arm below the pivot ball and cutting off some of the shifter above the ball, then welding a bolt on the end to accept a common Hurst cue ball knob. Just not sure how well the factory stick will take to being welded.Oh yeah....I still have that issue of matching wheels to correct.
