Had a productive night, fabbed up a topside engine cradle and got the trans out and the clutch was indeed backwards causing the torsion springs to rub on the flywheel bolts. Doh!

Got the clutch all switched around tonite and took it out for its maiden voyage! Ran good and clutch worked great when put in right lol. Ran it good and hard around the section and when I got back she was blowin a little smoke and burnin off the grime from the swap. Hopefully it was just sittin a while and needed to burn off the old.07 Chevy 1500. 5.3 E85

i have not...YET. power is definetly better, still gotta get the B6 ecu in and a couple little things but im afraid ive found out why she was is the junkyard...it appears the head gasket is out. leaks coolant out the side onto the trans and blows white smoke. runs good tho so ill slam a head gasket in it and hopefully back on the road soon.
i estimate the stoplight to bridge to be a modest 78, but i hope im a bit short

switched the b3 ecu out for the b6 one and it cured the smoking problem! took it from the stoplight to the bridge and she did 86! seems to run great and very satisfied with the increased power!07 Chevy 1500. 5.3 E85
