Hello all, so i was debating on a winter car and i decided on a a 323 gtx

ill take some pics as soon as my DSLR is finished charging!

so as of right now im just doing some fluid changes, diff fluid, trans fluid, oil, oil filter, plugs wires etc etc

    Future plans:

1/4 panel replacement, paint, oz racing wheels, coilovers, and hawk brake pads... and maybe a different trans

I'm wondering if anyone knows what kind of oil i should put into the gtx awd trans? and how much i should put in?

this thread is useless without pics

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

                so far the mods are:

to come: Chipped ecu, boost controler, corksport intercooler, 2.5" exhaust to back and bodywork!

Trying to find a chipped ECU to up my boost a bit, but than my trans is going to go poof. hmmm.

Got ahold of a corksport intercooler!

                    I am still chipping ECU's

Running 16psi won't poof your trans. Doing launches/smashing gears or running way too much boost will do her in, though

why does it seem like the wheel wells on these cars always seem to rust?

Well im loving the car but i have to decide what im goign to do with it....

                          Maybe rocketman knows...

Under "race inspired conditions" my trans grinds from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd, Is it possible to buy a gear set thats not $6000 dollars and repair the trans or get it rebulit by a trans shop?

or is it possible to bolt a bpt awd trans into a gtx? what mods would it need?

I was thinking about buying a JDM BPT with an AWD trans and putting the BPT in my festy and putting the AWD trans in my gtx retaining the b6T with an upgraded turbo, chipped ecu, and intercooler, exhaust/intake.

I have a thought.......save your money & the Mazda. And then buy a Suburu/Mitsubushi. You'll be money ahead.Might actually be competitive. And I wont hate you for abusing this car.
