Got the motor and tranny out. Spent most of the time plowing the yard from the snow we got this weekend and working on the wire tuck. Went through all the electrical tape I could find (2 rolls) and had to stop. Had to lengthen a couple of wires, but for the most part it is going very smoothly. I am mounting most of the stuff behind the fender, so to replace any of the three main fuses or the relays, I will have to remove the fender. This shouldn't be an issue as this stuff shouldn't need to be checked that often.
One of the mounts broke well we were taking the engine out. Good to know now rather than later. Looks like I need a better welder. I was wondering about that mount anyway.
Still debating on where to put the battery. I was thinking either the passenger side where the stock airbox was, or in the trunk. The Festiva Store

When I tucked my wiring behind the fender, I mounted the fuse block close to front so I can use that oval hole to reach my hand through to get to the fuses, makes it easier then pulling a fender
I'll see if I have a pic somewhere

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

This is about the closest pic i could find without taking a fresh one..... basically the bolt you see in the pic right beside the fuse block now holds my fuse block, it's slightly awkward to reach the fuses through that oval hole, but it's possible at least lol

I just realized that may not work for me. I am not putting any of the wires through the front except for those used for the lights. The rest of the wiring will be coming from the back of the motor, so I may need to lengthen the wires to put it in near the hole. The Festiva Store

I figured since I had to add the extra wires for the BP swap and I want to look nice, might as well do it right. Now lets just hope I can get everything done before April 14. I would hate for that day to be its maiden voyage, so I am working to get her done before hand. Might have to take some more vacation days. The Festiva Store

If anything happens I will be pulling the fender. It is alot cleaner though. I didn't realize damkid already mounted all of his wires in the fender. Everybody is doing it.1988 Ford Festiva "Sonic" BPT g25mr MS2 standalone ecu, FOTY '11, Best Beater FMV, Fan Favorite FMVI

I like how you moved the coil inside the fender too. I was thinking about going mild with my wire tuck, but I like what you did there. Might have to copy that while I wait for the rest of my parts....The Festiva Store
