Looks like your motor is sitting fairly close to the same position mine is. Just a little too tight for comfort. I have to stop being lazy and order a nice slim fan to get some clearance.

I wiggled it around and finally got it to fit. Ill have to remove some material from the cowling but it will work. My problem is the bleed valve for the hydro clutch, its an inch long. I need a shorter one or an angled one. I think Ill scrap the stock fan/cowling and get a slimmer aftermarker fan because the motor mount around the clutch cyclinder is a defined parameter.

Reading it over a 100 times and finally doing it are 2 different things. You can picture it but can't account for every little detail. Get it together temp. and fine tune / clean it up later. With my auto trans. I did not find out I should have gotten an auto oil pan till it was in. Hang in there. We are all counting on you. LOL...

Haha, I feel your pain. I stumbled into a BP swap thinking it was gonna be a breeze. Couple months of hammering, welding, grinding, drilling, wiring, cutting, soldering, swearing later I still gotta find a place for my intake apparatus because i don't want to move my battery, and I still don't have a fan on my radiator.

I was planning on swapping the stock fan for a slim fan. Even more clearance would be provided if the fan was switched to the front of the radiator. My radiator has plenty of clearance except for by the exhaust manifold (hence the reason for the lack of the shield), it is the fan that was tight, so swapping to a slim fan would remove the problem.

I agree with you on the unfinished projects. The way everybody talks about this swap it looks really easy, that is until you get into it. It is alot more frustrating than it appears. It is definitely not an easy swap. I am hoping my B6T swap goes a little easier since the engine isn't supposed to be quite as long.

Intake pipe looks really good! That's exactly the kind of shot I was hoping for, trying to imagine how much clearance there is there, and I didn't know if the header ended up higher flush with the radiator support or not. I guess it would depend on the tranny mounts, but that definately helps give me a general idea. Hope I'll be seeing something similar to that soon myself. I was debating on making my own exhaust manifold, the cheap ebay ones crack easy, but I'm not paying 400$ for an exhaust manifold -.-

The pipe is just some pipe I had laying around from when I did the intake on my mx-3. I think it is part of cold air intake for a honda. The 1 inch hose, I deleted it. The sensor on the bottom of the throttle body has been acting up on me and causing a really high idle. I just capped it at the throttle body. My idle is much better without it. A little low when it is cold, it wants to die. I just keep giving it a little throttle and it is ok. I tried swapping it to another one I had laying around, but that one is bad too.

Put new plugs and wires in last night. Also fixed my intake piping yesterday when I got home...

Also here are some shots of my exhaust manifold to show clearance. It really isn't near anything so I don't what specifically you were looking for clearance between.

The top of the manifold is below the bottom of the upper radiator support beam.

Yep, the stock one cracked and I haven't gotten a replacement yet.

Only bad thing abou those foam filters is they break down and fall apart into your motor. Ask me how I know lol

The air inlet for the filter is 3" and according to the manufacturer the rest of it is:

Stands Roughly around 6" base diameter and 2.75" height from base skirt to screw

The style is mushroom: I didn't want to have to try to shove a cone filter in there.

I don't like the look of the intake pipe, so I will be looking at finding something shiny to replace it with. Also want it to end up more behind the headlight.
