Was that 8 hours running on RusEFI? If so, that truly is awesome! Well, its awesome either way
Where did you find info on the Miata head swap?

I see you did the Protege speedo mod in a tach cluster, like me. So mine isn't unique in that way after all. But as you say, a real racer doesn't look at the speedo anyway, so it wouldn't matter if it was pegged at 85mph the whole race! :-)

Did you ever run this in Lemons? The rules that I'm seeing look stupid expensive to stick to for what's supposed to be a $500 car racing event. I mean what's the point of the $500 thing if you're gonna spend several or more Gs on top of that just to race it?
Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.
The car has survived about 10 races already, including a true 24 hours race. I've sold my share of the car just because I've moved to a different coast but that's a different story.
On top of $500 for the car you need optional $500 for tires just to have fun and reqired ~$3K on safety well... to be safe Imagine liability consequences if things go bad at 100MPH, and with real tracks like Road America things to get into the 100MPH range and that's with people going into corners three or four wide!
