Finally a tad bit of work done.
The weather has been getting warmer so I was finally able to do some work to the car.
I dont have pics of it yet but I moved the diver side lower rad mount to make the civic rad.
Since I got the rad where its going to stay I was finally able to mock up the upper hose. Its not perfect but I'm pretty sure it should work fine.
The 90 that slips over the thermostat housing will be welded to it by a friend that can TIG aluminum very well. ( I will be sandblasting the paint off of the housing before having it welded.)

For some reason I just now "discovered" this thread, even tho it's been around for years! Looking forward to dyno numbers. And great job BTW.90 Festy (Larry)--B6M (Matt D. modified B6 head), header, 5-speed, Capri XR2 front brakes, many other little mods

So, No pics right now but I have made progress. I rebuilt the shifter assembly with parts from Four Green and it feels SO good now. the shifter is tight, crisp and feels perfect. The rear brakes are pretty much done. I also have to adjust the wheel bearings and parking brake. After that the brakes are done. The engine reliably starts and idles. I still have to check and adjust the timing. My dad recently bought this nice badass timing light that does RPM, and timing advance/ retard, so it shouldn't be a problem. I still have to do the exhaust as well. I haven't had the money to buy the muffler and bends due to a trip to Boston I had.
SO. I have to set timing, adjust rear brakes, finish the exhaust and re assemble the interior.

Progress!!
Alright!!! Finally an update!
So, while installing the new Nolathane control arm bushings and swaybar to control arm bushings I ran into a tad issue. The Drivers side captive nut was just spinning in the retainer so I went to the passenger side and the head of the bolt just snapped off. :cussing: SO, I ended up braking out the grinder and cut the old control arms off as close to the bushings as posssible then I cut the bolt on either side to remove the old control arm end. Then I cut open the end of the frame rail and folded the flap of metal back then removed the old captive nuts. I then went to the hardware store and got some M10x1.50( I think) grade 10.5 bolts and nuts. I then put the bolt and nut through and welded the new nuts to the chassis, then folded the flap back up and welded it back together! After some anti-seize I put the new control arms with new poly bushings and new bolts back in. ( I dont have pics of the frame opened but I will get some pics of the aftermath.)
Next up is the sawybar to body bushings. I ended up getting the Energy Suspension 9.5158R 7/8 / 22mm bushings. I ground down the lip on either side and radiused the bottom corners to make them work with the stock brackets. ( No worry of the E.S. bracket moving with the slotted holes on them.)
Next up is the fun part! ( for me at least.)
The exhaust!!
It is all 304 Stainless ( except for the header and flex pipe.) and all bends are mandrel bent.
I will just let the pictures talk.
I haven't finished it yet ( should be able to tomorrow morning then taking it to a friend to have him TIG it all up.)
All of that piping will be leading up to this.
Finally, I painted my 88 grill after cutting out the center and I also removed the headlights and painted the trim underneath them black to match the grill and bumper.
As always, let me know what you think and if you have any questions feel free to ask.
