For the past year I've been dying to ask how this exciting project was coming along. I guess a good feed of morels has resurrected the venture. Hooray!
And as to be expected your motor and engine bay is cleaner than my floors, kitchen counter and dining room table, despite your protestations that everything is overly dusty.

I've heard for the cheap ebay progressive rate springs, the lighter lb/rate goes on the top and only expand when the suspension is fully extended (tire off the ground). I don't think any part of those springs will be fully compressed so it shouldn't matter which way goes up.-Zack

Got the back springs on. All good there. The first picture shows the rear stock spring VS the FMS spring, seven coils stock VS eleven coils in the FMS spring. I get to the front springs and the FMS springs look kind of wimpy compared to the stock springs. The rear FMS springs were approx. the same length as the stock springs but the FMS front springs are clearly way shorter than the stock springs. I'm not sure I want to replace the stock frt springs with the frt FMS springs now.sigpic

marcus i cut 1&1/2 coils off my front stock springs(tks arty) & it rides great & lowered the front about an inch and a half. i also have a pair of stock front springs that will be cut down & put in the back for about an inch drop there plus it will haul more & hopefully handle better. i dont know how good the fms springs work but you can just cut the front ones like i did & i think you will be happy with that. that engine bay is to die for, great job!!Last edited by kumalaba; 05-08-2013, 11:57 PM.Never Hire a Boy to do a Man's Job!!

Hmmm, that doesn't seem right...maybe after some drive time the springs will settle in a bit in the back...they are brand new NOS FMS springs right?
