Gluing the intake to gather, making it permanent . Stripped back the wire harness to gain some slack in the VAF plug. Bought fluids yesterday, may have to give it a whirl this weekend to see what happens. Still no exhaust yet.

Can someone help me out with transmission fluid amt ? 1993 escort gt five speed hydraulic clutch. I've got a capri speedo gear on and I'm not sure if the dipstick marks are accurate. Also I changed disty cap and rotor. Thinking the rotor would only fit in one position I pulled it off without noticing which way it was pointed. I guess it will go on in three positions. Any danger trying to start until I find the right spot ? Just drained the gas tank to put in new fuel. Only had to drain three gallons, smelled fine. The last couple of times I've had to drained a tank they had at least 1/2 a tank in them.
it's hard to get the distributor in upside down (180 out) if you have to force it it's wrong. One side is thicker than the other by not much. Then just make sure the rotor button is pointed at #1 at tdc on #1 cylinder. or crank it and if it doesn't run right try the next position!
my bp swap is ...well.. I need to get one of those roundtoits.
needs the iat sensor ran out, ecu plugged in(wires spliced already) wideband bung welded into the exhaust, rear half of the exhaust finished(lacking a muffler, cherrybomb already in the middle pipe is ran over the axle) fluids and somebody not lazy like me to turn the key. I keep buying other cars and getting sidetracked working on them >.<
I didn't pull the whole distributor just the rotor. It will go on three different ways. Yeah I know about the roundtoits. My project is never a priority so the only work I do to it is when I feel like it. I'm hoping the light at the end on the tunnel will draw me to the finish.

Thanks guys ! Karl, it sounds good to me, a little HLA ticking since the motor hasn't been started in 14 months, that will go away. I'm a little in shock that it started right up. Made my very own youtube video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKDp3...m-upload_owner

That is one sweet sound! I'm glad you got it running, and it started right up, too!

That engine sounds fine, this car is just another example of your workmanship, looks great all the way around.
An idea can turn to dust or magic, depending on the talent that rubs against it.
