Engine developed a rod knock last night. Trip = cancelled. No time/energy/money left to swap in a spare motor. not happy.

Might be flywheel bolts... I torque'd them to spec but I'm using a Fidanza flywheel and I didn't use threadlock... never had an issue before but this might be it... I can hope anyways, lol. Engine comes out tomorrow/this week we'll find out.

I have a high comp (9.4:1CR) large nose motor I'll probably drop in anyways, I wanna mess around with ITB's a bit

Went to move the XR2 the other day, the knocking it was making has "disappeared" I am running a slightly heavier weight oil in it...not sure if that's helping? A little confused. So I've decided to try driving it. If the stock oil pressure gauge is to be believed it's running around 30psi which seems a little low maybe? not sure they never really work.

Rear wheel bearing on the driverside is shot, so that's also on the todo list.

I didn't like them until I got one, and it was a great car that was really fun to drive, then the look of the car started to grow on me. They are a well designed convertible. With the top down they are pretty quiet and comfortable even at high freeway speed. It's faster and more comfortable than even a 1.8 Miata and for it's time was well optioned. I bought my Capri to be a donor for my Festiva, but after driving it couldn't cut it up.

you don't have to cut it up.. you just have to gut it and the chassis stays as it is lol
