So you may or may not remember my bulid thread, i did a b6-z5 hybrid where i took the z5 bottom end and put a mazda b6T Top end.

The car is really fast and really fun to drive, however i want more powa.

This is the plan:

Engine:

-full rebulid (rings/etc)
-miata block
-miata pistons
-b6T rods
-ZMDE Head/Intake manifold
(port and polish)
-FMIC, 2.5" or 3" downpipe
-External wastegate with screamer pipe.
-Stratified MSPNP
-Cometic HG/ APR head studs
-323gt trans
-Aluminum flywheel
-spec clutch.
-random bov.
-rc650cc injectors

Going to use this turbo manifold with a t3 chinacharger, have to confirm this will fit the ZMDE, it should :

Bought the donar block yesterday started to rip it appart, got 5 mins in and had to cook dinner hah!

So far I'm budgeting 3ishk to do this properly, Lots of money but i will be doing this slowly. Still undecided if i should just take the plunge and buy this while I'm at it.

Oh, and this is why i haven't been posting to much on ford festiva.com lately, i should have done my build thread of this miata on here, the guys at mturbro.net are useless, and lame. (most anyways).

b6ze, 2.5" downpipe, 3" exhaust, coolant reroute, link ecu, fm turbo manifold gt25 turbo, custom FMIC, new water pump, 650cc injectors, dual feed fuel rail, torsen, act stg3 clutch FM flywheel, coilovers, big brakes, 13x10" slicks, autokonexion widebody, racing beat swaybars/mounts, full cage, gauges, blah blah blah.

im not so sure that turbo manifold will work now the more i research... I may have to bail on the ZM head and just build the b6 head.

zm head.... custom manifold... the log manifold i built for my bp took me no time to make... and flows great, spools quick and sounds awesome... win, win, win

So far i have 2 challenges, 1: The bottom cam sprocket fitting on the miata block and 2: turbo manifold.

re sized all my pictures (why do we have to do that btw? makes the picture so tiny!)

Took out ridge for oil return, should return oil nicely


Ugly block but clean block, what color should i paint it? last one was ugly shiny black... any ideas? thinking of a gunmetal or a pale grey.


The more and more i think about it, the more i think i should try use the b6 head. I have a set of HKS camshafts, camgears, and i just cut off a manifold to toy with the idea of using a b18c5 OEM intake manifold and welding it onto the b6 flange.
