The last test drive went okay. I drove her around the neighborhood for about 15 minutes, then let her idle in my yard for another ten or so. The temp needle approached, but never reached, straight up middle position. The fan did not come on. A little of that "olive drab paint" fluid went into the formerly dry overflow tank. (I'll be cleaning that out again.) I suppose the overflow would be normal for a long idle time?

In case you can't read the bolt size, it says "M6-1,0". These were 16mm long, but there were other lengths available.
The new project is to adapt this welding rod case I got from HF this morning to become a small underhood tool kit. In a stock Festiva it would fit into the passenger side firewall area. I need to figure out the hardware and method of attachment, and how much weight it can hold, etc.
In AquaMutt, it will fit into the area right behind my right headlight, where the old airbox used to be.
