            Yikes!!!!!

I deglazed the bores today. Low and behold, cylinder 4 has a score mark running from approx half way of the bore down to the bottom. There was a much lighter score mark coming up to the top but it went away some some light honing.

Being that the score mark is so low. Do you guys think its going to cause me dramas?
Should I get it honed and re ringed?

I would say since your doing a rebuild, don't chance it as if it does cause issues, you'll be damning yourself through another half rebuild.
I also would determine it on price as if its a tiny cost to you, may as well..

I'd also look over the entire block to make sure no surprises pop up .

                  Update.
I honed the score out. Enlarged the bore by approx 10 thou.
                  DOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Took block to be bored and decked.
Ordering new oversize pistons and rings.
                  That's a blow out I wasn't counting on.

All good mate. I can't say I've ever honed any piston, but good on you for trying.. It'll allow you to get I imagine another 15-20hp. Was I close?

                          Quick update.

                          No engine assembly yet.
                          Engine machinist delayed.

I've spent the past few afternoons doing a mild wire tuck and also dummying up my b6t harness so I can plan how to Tuck it also.

Got rid of my a/c wires, carb wires, PTC wires, and any other wires that are made obsolete with the conversion.

                          Disclaimer.
My car's wiring is based on the 1986 Mazda 121. Please see your car's adequate wiring diagram prior to cutting out any old wires that you think may be obsolete. I researched my stuff thoroughly before I cut anything. This includes undoing all tape and tracing all wires I wasn't sure of.

I drew up a wiring diagram for a 1988 b3 carb to capri b6t conversion. This applies to most carb models. Efi would be even easier since you dont need to install the fuel pump.
Turns out its pretty simple. There are write ups on this already but here's the link to the diagram:

Hope this is of use to anyone doing a carb to EFI conversion.

Many thanks to 1chrisapple. His wiring guide was the final piece of clarity I needed to complete this diagram.

Thanks for the wiring diagram Moz! Very clear and easy to read!

I hope you don't mind Moz, but I re-saved the file. For some reason it was working my system hard when I was opening the file. Here is the modified version. https://mega.co.nz/#!6h4U1ATL!J2r7gy...hCJ62B7VWe14xk

Let me know if you mind, and I will take this down.

Thankyou silicon soul.. I had issues with the original copy too.. All good and definite props to moz for putting in the groundwork for the diagram as well as confirmation and checking of the physical wiring. You had certainly made this for me a and lot of others a lot easier .. Thanks both.. The original one I had issues with it on my phone but this one works a treat.

Oops. Didn't realise it wasn't working too well. Its prob because its a very large format and most PDF programs take a while to load it.
I'll shrink it down to something more reasonable

Thanks for putting up a working link BTW. I don't mind it being used, shared, or posted. I did it for the benefit of our community.
