I dont even know what a g4 atom is!!!!

The link display is pretty nifty. Software gets to be a bit of a pain.

    Software is free: universal.

stratifiedautomotivecontrols lists the ecu at like 400 some dollars + iat sensor/plug is 60

Oh the Atom, is Link ECU's entry level unit thats all. You had problems with their software I take it?

Yah their software is a PITA totally oudated

However, mine got 10 hours on a dyno before i bought it

It made 238whp, but only running 7psi now. its fast enough for road racing.

            That was the miata,

this guy should make more. Im thinking, theoretically, a FWD should make more WHP and have less drivetrain loss then a RWD car... This should continue on with the festiva/miata.

Guys are running modest boost levels on BONE STOCK 1.6L's and getting 240RWHP.

Im thinking with a festiva, using an intake manifold from a miata, better turbo, exhaust manifold, downpipe, and exhaust, nice fmic mine should make 240fwhp at the very least. Ill be running big boost see how much the b6T can handle.

              238hp @ 7psi?

              what turbo are you running?

im feeling a little bummed out that mine only made 194hp @ 9psi...

hahaha sorry for the confusing wording.

13-14psi depending on how much creep happened. The car is only running 7psi now. It dynoed at 238 @13ish psi. Exactly what Flyin miata claimed on a bone stock motor. gt2560r garrett.

And why would you be disappointed? Flying miata claims 260ish WHP at 12 psi in a slightly bigger turbo. on their miata BP's.

I honestly think if you ran some more boost through it, You' would see more power. Also, not sure if intake manifold plays a part but thats literally the only other difference.

im a little disappointed cause my HP numbers for the amount boost and size of turbo im running seams a bit low... could be the dyno though... I remember my tuner saying his dyno reads a bit low... so im gonna go with that excuse... now I feel better

ooo and don't worry, more boost is coming before the racing season start up again, im gonna bring it back to my tuner and get him to tune it up to 14~15psi... that should put me around 230~240 hp by my math... I think that's enough power to get me in the the low 12's and not so much that I blow my motor or trans sky high on the dyno lol...

awesome!!!!!!!! Depending on the dyno should read more then 240whp.

There are so many other 323 drag cars out there... i wonder what they use. I read one article they all use g series with straight cut 2nd and 3rd gears. Why on earth do all of ours blow up?

I think if someone made a gear kit for the g series that WAS NOT 5 freaking grand, people would buy it... that and if someone made stronger shafts and re-enforcement plates to the case didn't crack apart, the g series would be bomb proof Im still thinking about going back to school to be a machinist, and let me tell you, on my free time im gonna be making gears, shafts and re-enforcement plates

It just mystifies me how all of these hondas have literally bullet proof transmissions but all of the mazda guys trans' cant handle 200whp. Are the honda trans that much stronger then mazda trans?

Yeah but most Hondas have shit for torque tho.

when was the last time you heard of a trans breaking in the middle of a WOT pull... 99% of the time they break when you let the clutch out hard after grabbing the next gear...
