motor looks REALLY good, no wear on lobes, no gunk, very clean
all b3 pullys installed, Festiva alternator went right on, just swapped adjusting arms, plugs are different, but shouldn't be an issue
Festiva flywheel installed, is this something people usually have resurfaced? will it be ok if i don't?
as promised, gas tank, is it salvgable? i dont see why i couldn't figure out a way to repair those rusted fittings.

Sorry to say but you should really pull all that back apart and use the aspire eng plate on the bp . The bp adaptor will cause all kinds of rattling noises and also prevent the axle from going in !
Nice progress ! Looking good !New build on the way .

I swapped a b6t into carb'ed car. Cause I'm da man!
You need the egt harness.
Leave the Festiva stuff hooked up, lights etc. I put a 255 walboro in the engine bay. Ran my own fuel line to to the tank. Used the factory return line to the tank. Should be 4-5 wires to run the egt ecu. Just need to power it up. I've never swapped a bp to a carb'ed car but It can't be to much different. If you switch to a efi Festiva harness it's all plug and play. That's what I did on my second swap.1988 Ford Festiva "Sonic" BPT g25mr MS2 standalone ecu, FOTY '11, Best Beater FMV, Fan Favorite FMVI

annnddd, progress! got the motor in, but had to take it out to make "slight adjustments" to the firewall, and framerail where the alternator pulley is. Was too tired after beating the piss out of everything to put the motor back in, so maybe this week when i have help.

Working on the motor mount tomorrow if i can bring myself to do anything in this humidity. $150 order on rock auto placed, plugs, wires, dizzy cap, rotor, o2 sensor, ect, ect, so until i can work on that i have the motor mount and wiring to occupy me.
So, if i were to get an in line pump, mount it near the front of the car, close to the engine bay, wouldn't i only have to have high pressure lines between the pump and fuel rail?
