Pepper's makover and b6D swap!

Well my b3 has seen better days. Been running on two cylinders with a bad head. Nothing but trouble. Then the new water pump decided to go.THEN the alternator decided to give me crap too. Price to fix all this was more than it would be to swap.

After about a week of back and forth on which swap to do and how big to do it...and lots of help/advice from Drumnerd, the decision was made for me by the crushing of all the BP donor cars lol.

The Capri I pulled the B6D from had 33k on the clock. Busted windows. And two of the 4 stock wheels.

Plans:

Install new steering rack and tierods/ends
Install mentals steering rack bushings
Install Rio front struts and aspire rears.
Switch out drivers door for one that not dented to heck.
Paint cardinal red with some light blue bee-stings!!!!
Steam clean and power clean interior while refreshing stock interior paint.
Tint windows
New exhaust
New wheels
Rio brakes
Racing buckets
New steering wheel
Hella horns
Ernst bodykit!
Mudflaps
More to come as I go.

I'm gonna upgrade to turbo in the near future.
Just looked at the oilpan, those stupid mothersukas instead of turning the drain plug, they punched a hole.... Grrr. Oh well, another excuse to find an oil pan off a turbo Capri

Funny how life comes along and hammers dents in your plans.
Three funerals in two weeks. One was my grandads. After that I figured I would be able to financially squeeze by with this swap. Bwahaha. Day I go to get the rest of the parts BOOM! Debit/credit card got hit for $250.00 which also put me -70 on my card. So till next paycheck this project is on temporary hold

We'll got the b6d in the garage. MAF and ECU are ready to go as well. Gonna put pics on my PC and then upload from there later.

Everything except the battery tray in the bay is unbolted/ unhooked. Had a lil mishap: my finger vs the head. Head 1 finger 0...

Will be starting up on it again during the week!.hope to be driving by Thursday.

So, most of my forward progress was thwarted by weather and events outside of my control. But, Im pleased to announce that Pepper is ready to go back under the knife.
Id like to thank Shorestiva! I have custom mounts from him sitting in my garage!!

So first things first with Pepper. I gotta get the Tq converter bolts put in. I think I am now officially done with automatic cars lol. Well untill I build my Pro Touring Roadrunner.....!

List of stuff to do on Pepper:

1) get Tq conver bolts installed
2) get dizzy installed
3) get coil plugs and wires bought and installed
4) replace the brake line that I snapped in two.
5) install mounts
6) install motor
7) get and install new radiator.
8) have timing adjusted.
9) enjoi a b6d festiva!!

stuff in the future:

Oil cooler
coilovers
bodykit
have the interior reupholstered. I have a pretty good idea of what I want it to look like. even have the patterns and stuff picked out.
new wheels and capri upgrades.

So i have been accruing parts for pepper!!
Slowly but surely.
I now have:
Rio fronts
tach cluster
Under seat trays
spoiler
Dome light
And the correct pulley!

Still gotta get :
rear struts
The rio brake stuff
might go for coilover setup like advanced.
capri oil pan
the clips for the front grill ( gonna see if someone will cad some better designed ones)
Need bigger wheels
the lower spoiler
and a paintjob.
oil pan is the last thing i need to immediately run i think.

Ill be on the road soon!!
