My aspire swap...

For my lower rad hose to be able to use the aspire radiator I cut the aspire coolant hose in half took about 1 inch 1/2 off the length so I have two 90° angle pieces and cut some pvp pipe that was just small enough to fit snugly and hose clamped both angle pieces together using the pipe.

It started!!! Ill take an open header vid tomorrow.

I rewired the injector harness and my Hayned manual showed the firing order as 1 2 3 4...and the backfiring...I checked the internet 1 3 4 2. Started up!

Im hoping today if the girlfriend doesnt want to turn this unseasonably warm and un-snowy 25 degree celcius day into some kind of all day Christmas Nightmare of having to put up the tree and get an ornament. Im losing my freakin mind. 3 day weekend and Ive spent 3 hours on it...

New cap and rotor tomorrow. Gonna pull the upper timing cover to help me do the timing.

Three wires left. Two are next to eachother, same guage yellow/black and red/black. Last one is a thin black/blue with white connector.

Do you know for sure the timing belt is set right? Might be as easy as adjusting the distributor and using a timing light on it. Start with the disty in the middle between the bolts.

I did, which made it start. I think it might still be off so Im going to pull the upper timing belt cover and make sure I have the cam TDC. Im going to get new cap and rotor to make sure thats not the problem as well.

What's that diagram from? I'm pretty sure I was looking at the Efi Festiva diagram when I made that other one... So red/blue in the festy harness should go to that sending unit. I was told it didn't matter which side is which, but maybe it does?

Factory Service Manual

I had my ECT wired wrong and canister purge wasnt wired into the injector harness. There's actually 4 pages Im using to do this. I had the ground wired from the ECT properly as per your diagram but the other wire was incorrect.
