Lol my canister purge "rusted off and I didn't fix it yet" I didn't know It was part if the injector harness either. If you can you should write that into an injector harness diagram like mine, I'm pretty sure I'll be needing the info again at a later date lol..

When I looked at a diagram of the BP harness, "white/red" was shown as canister purge...as well it connected to two of the injectors. On the festiva side of things I believe its a red and yellow wire. Yesterday I unspliced it and my dashlights didnt work anymore LOL.

I got it running without having to touch the gas today and it will run indefinately but I didnt have time to take a light to it. The fan ran and than shut off so thats either good news or a blown fuse. Ill have more time tomorrow to screw with it.

Basically found the wires (red/blk ylw/blk) for the IAC, spliced them, than spliced the red/blk to the throttle switch (aspire has this, festiva doesnt)

Yanked out the throttle switch and it ran like this:

Aspire b3 and 5 speed tranny swapped into Festiva. All I had from the old b3 was the VAF. Had to source the distributor and used a BP injector harness to get...

So I drove it to work. The alignment is actually not too bad but I should probably bring it to an alignment shop to get it perfected. What I am experiencing is exactly the same bump-steer and vague steering I did before...that I did not mention lol. Im pretty sure its my Kia Rio struts that I cut the springs on. Botched. Scary as hell the ride to work was a nightmare and it was an hour drive lol once the highway was a bit clearer it wasnt bad but taking corners is life and death.

Mark the ground/pavement front and back of the front wheels with chaulk and a piece of pipe, or something else straight, across the tires or rims, and a uniform distance away. Then measure these marks from side to side. This will exaggerate whatever toe-in toe-out problems you may have. And then take it from there. Castor camber is a whole different kettle of fish and should be quite apparent just from eye-balling in comparison to the back wheels. Right now I have "0" toe-in/out and that steers weird when accelerating and in between shifts.

Wow it really snowed last night! I was in Niagara-on-the-Lake until the stores closed at five, before I scooted back to Toronto. The drizzle stopped the other side of Hamilton and the roads were dry. Toronto only got a very light dusting. Almost nothing. I'm sure glad I got out of there in time. The Niagara River gorge was very foggy yesterday. I went up and down the Robert Moses Parkway six times.

I did a string alignment on mine after I changed over to Moog tie rod ends last Saturday. I am going to take mine in to an alignment shop in the spring. Hopefully, we'll meet up next year.

Your just in Toronto? I work in Hamilton!

Ill try again to do a proper alignment, chalk and rope or a pipe most likely on the weekend. What Im experiencing is bump steer...horrible bump steer. When I first drove it down the street without the sway bar bolted up it was something to behold.

                            Update:

Now running Honda Civic coils in the front (I was using Rio struts/cut springs) with 3 1/2 rings cut. 1/2 drop in comparison which makes my axles happier and I dont have hideous bumpsteer anymore. Bought a set of EGT outer tie rod ends, look shorter than the aspire ones but Im hoping the threads go deeper into the tie rod for better adjustability with my aspire steering rack.

The shifter is a direct swap...maybe an mx3's would knock even more off since it has more of a bend. Just have to use some washers to fill in the space between the shifter and the linkage.
