That low mileage engine was nice, and I gave it some consideration, but realistically you're better off building an engine. For the price the seller was asking you could have a serious b6t with a nice modern turbocharger.

I'd stick with what ya got and beef up that b6d. Some fresh parts and it'll be better than it ever was! Unless ofc you decide you want more displacement haha, always time for that swap later if you wanted to go that way.. I would just hate taking the sledge to that 900mile chassis to make it fit.

I tried finding it. Didn't look too hard though. No big deal. Old one is getting all new stuff anyway so would rather keep the one I have.

Did anyone post a link to this B6T auction awhile back? You could always find the old link and the seller who was auctioning it. Maybe it never sold. Shoot them a message.

Ok, after some talking with Charlie I am going to keep the Stock rear beam and do his mod to the Tein rear strut. I will do the pattern swap to the drum as well. Man I love it when a forum is filled with capable and willing members. Maybe someday soon I will be able to pay it forward as well.

Yeah. If that b6t was to come back up for sale I would def be interested in it and just do a mild build on it to keep it real. Otherwise a BUILT b6t is already in the works.

Wow..... this thread just keeps getting better! You need that b6t that was on eBay awhile back with like 15 original miles or something like that. Good to hear that the car will get driven. These cars are so much fun to drive, especially with real torque, it's a shame for them to sit. Lets see more pictures!

Haha man I didnt think it was possible for this project to get any wilder! I guess the secrets out and I didn't say a word promise!!!!!

I can't wait for the weather to break I got some stuff I need to get done too! Looks like your getting the parts together for the kind of car that should be put in a glass case on top of a rotating table in the middle of that new garage haha! Gonna be sick, can't wait!

I'm so jealous you got a car with a rear view mirror that won't shake with vibrations, no creaks from the rear subframe or ANY oxidation! If I could build the perfect car I would imagine it would be something like this!
This is my reason for buying this car. I had, at the time of purchase, the fundage to do such a thing. To me this is going to be MY perfect car. The thing is: it will sit in the garage, but only when it is raining, snowing, or has the potential to do so. Otherwise I WILL be driving it The old garage is the build center for the car. When it's done I will build the new garage. Kinda backwards I guess but that's what happens when you have Festiva Madness.

The wild part is what is happening next. Pulling the engine/tranny and stripping the b6t. This is everyone's favorite part right? I only hope it is good enough to use. I kinda possibly found a BP that I "may" be interested in IF the guy wants to sell it and IF I can talk myself into a built BPT instead of the insanely built B6T. Probably stick with the b6t. That just sort of depends on the guy I was talking to earlier today and his plans.

YES, the word is out now (not by you either Matt) lol. My build car only has 958 original miles. It is a white 93 GL and is perfect for the build I am doing. The above Teins only have about 650 miles on them too. Gotta love that. The car only has about 3-4 tanks of fuel through it. It runs perfectly with no leaks or anything of that nature. Doesn't matter though, cause everything that could possibly go wrong with a car that has spent most of its life sitting will be addressed in the build with newer better parts and any better likeness of such. The car actually smells like new still. Smells better than my wife's '13 Rio.

It was his own fault for mentioning seats with less than 1000 miles on them!
