    Breathe easy my friend. A lo-buck DIY BP install in a Festy beats out (in my opinion) any filthy rich Jay Leno-type SHOgun-soup-up every time. Can you get this hooked up properly, keep it going and actually figure on driving it in some sane manner?
    Sure hope the OEM brakes and suspension have already been tangled with (Aspire/Rio swap) otherwise this thing is gonna be scary when it does get 'lit up'.

      I definately dont go "full tilt" with a car until im comfortable, with the festiva Ive never been comfortable with it

            Since your in it so deep already, why not just sell that E series before it needlessly dies under the mighty BP. Those things are really getting difficult to find. It will live for a bit, but even gentle full power shifts will probably show you any weak spots in a hurry. The Rio install appears to be easier than the G or F series.

            Just do the Rio trans knowing you can relentlessly play with it to your hearts content!

              becoz money.

              heres the chunk you need to grind off the bp oil pan, all that blue needs to come off

              Couldnt really tell from the walkthrough so I lined it up myself

                Why Im not going rio tranny right now is because I might need two(incase i muck one up) Im going to try to swap my mFactory into the Rio trans but heard it might not fit, so im using this solid aspire transmission for now.

                So in itself the rio trans will be a project on its own, I will also get a new clutch while Im at it.

                  I seriously havent messed anything up with this car yet...which is stupid funny because it looks like Im lost 90% of the time with the posts I have. Ive found a workaround for every snag without breaking the bank. I love these cars.

                  I think the only thing I cant fix is the hatch...the latch is stuck and I might actually have to take a grinder to it! The plastic surround around the license plate's screws are just little balls of rust

                      Grinder jammed and jumped out of my hands, sprained my wrist, got caught in my shirt and took some organic material off my stomach.

                      No wonder these grinding disks were so cheap.

                              Wirebrushing all the engine bolts and painting them. Cant really do anything major before work so there ya have it.
