Here is the rest of the pictures from the last batch.

This is an exhaust I got off a race truck in a junk yard. Not sure if I will use them though. (pictured 1 of 2)

Carpet liner I plan to use to deaden road noise. Dynomat is just to expensive. So I'm looking for alternatives.

At some point, someone glued this awful carpet to the dash. I plan on just replacing the whole dash. That will also give me a chance to clean behind it and fix anything that needs fixing.

The kid told me, "the ignitions on these car's tend to go bad, so I replaced it with electric switches." Held together with electrical tape.

Light up foot pedals. Not sure if I'll keep them in this car or not.

And found this go-kart in the trash! Can't get the engine to run, probably why it was thrown out. Never had one, so thinking of buying a cheap motor to throw in the thing.

I don't believe I would put my hand on top of your shift knob to change gears.
I prefer something a little less intense.

I like your dash mat. It gives me an idea.

I can see it possibly being uncomfortable. But it's worth a try.

What kind of idea do you have? I'm very curious now. hmmmmmm

I've used B-Quiet Ultimate available here. It's less expensive that Dynamat and I've been very pleased with the results. I'll be putting it in the new car very soon myself.

            Hope that helps.

Did you jut get a 50 sq. ft.? It looks like good quality stuff from the pictures.

I saw some stuff that comes in a like paint can. Some kind of steel dampening paint... Had it saved on my other computer, but the hard drive crashed. Can't remember where I found the website. They sold it at Lowe's

I used 100 square feet. That did almost the entire interior except for the roof. I had everything out, including the dashboard, when I put mine in.

Had a short chance to check out the Festiva yesterday, before the rain moved in.

When I picked the car up, I was told there was a vacuum leak somewhere. And he didn't bother to find it, because "it kinda has a cold air intake / turbo noise." and he said he thought it was neat.

As you all know, that hose should be round, not oval. It was nearly clamped off half way!
The battery is dead. So I didn't bother to start the car. Hopefully that will take care of the whooshing sound.

Also got a package in the mail last week.

                      Xentec HID KIT 9003 H4 Hi-Lo 6000k
1998-2000 Ford Ranger Halo Projector Headlights with a Black Housing

They look fantastic with this car!
I'm thinking about getting some mounting plugs off a Ranger. (a friend has a Ranger I can look at for ideas on how the lights are mounted on the truck)
Then taking out the mounting bracket off the Festiva. And cutting holes to accommodate the mounting plugs into the spot behind the original bracket. Anyone that has these lights have any input? Can't really find a good write up.

                      Then lastly...

Carbon Fiber GT-X hood. Picked it up from 'Hunter2532'. Along with an '94 Aspire Rear Beam. (not pictured)
                      Nice guy.
That was a super long day for me, I work 3rd shift. So my brother and I loaded up the neighbors van and headed out at about 4am. 6 hour trip in total, I believe. The transaction probably only took maybe 15 minutes? Then headed out on the road again for another 3 hours back home. I think I was awake for something like 42 hours altogether. Thankfully I had that weekend off!!!
I'm told there was only like 10 of these from a member in Canada?

Got a set of clear plastic coated hood-pin lanyards in that package as well. Didn't bother to open them, because I put the hood away in the barn for safe storage. Not sure when I'll actually put it on the car.
