So I'm still waiting on my turbo manifold to be completed so my festiva is on hold. In the mean time I have picked up a few fab tools so I can start making some parts soon. I picked up a Cummins drill press. It works but could use a new power cord and clean up. Any recommendations of a vise or what I should use for hold downs on the drill press? I've seen some use machinist vise? I also picked up a harbor freight bandsaw second hand, a tool shop chop saw and a Dewalt sawzall. I no longer have to use my $10 harbor freight angle grinder for cutting! That thing was scary! I still need a plasma cutter, sledge hammer and maybe a few more air tools.

Some more of my work. Fab work becomes addictive. My only advice, and I'm by no means an expert, is practice, practice, and more practice.

                        School bus body braces

                        Running board bracket

Armoured oil pan for my bagged Mercedes

                        Step brace

Chemical storage shelf for my box

My proudest project fab wise was rebuilding this door on a piece of machinery. I also replaced the fibreglass box, requiring plotting it out in AutoCAD, transferring to the box and cutting out the holes on a milling machine. Took two days to wire it from scratch.
