    Well this is interesting. Didn't know, but i guess i kinda figured, Carlos would be able to do a full build for someone else. didn't expect it to be that cheap though. How are you mounting that trans though? i might've missed it earlier in the tread but didn't he tube up his whole front end?

    Well Carlos is officially building my motor. The deal has been made. It will still take some time but its happening. Now i need to focus on my current build. i have to finish britstiva to gather some more funds and to clear out my garage. Once the garage is clear i will focus on lucifer. Mounting that e153 will be fun as well! The big expensive stuff is done and paid for. Now its time for all the little crap.

    I cant wait to see this motor in the car!

    Well the new build now has an intake manifold that is able to make more then enough power for my goal. Carlos is upgrading to an even bigger badder better unit. I took his current unit off his hands for him! It has clearly made more power then what i am wanting to so it should be great. I will have to have it powder coated or something tho. Gotta have it all perdy under there.

    I am talking with carlos on the exhaust mani and short block now. I hope to have them soon as well.

    After the intake and exhaust mani plus the block ill be tapped out again for a while. Then focus will shift back to installing the trans with the spare bp to get it all mounted.

    Lucifer now has a full on clutch kit with custom machined flywheel. Thanks to BP Specialty that is! I have not made any progress on the build itself tho. I do have some news coming soon on that!

    I am working on a custom sequential shifter kit for the e153 trans that i will try to adapt to the g series trans as well. The idea is just to have something cool and unique to make it my own and not just a 100% copy. The shifter will have a gear and pawl on each side of a frame. This dual gear and pawl will allow the handle to travel up and down without having to hit a button or lever. I will have to make a lever to get into Reverse tho (dont want to grab R by mistake). Inside the frame attached to the same shaft of the 2 gears on the outside will be a small drum with a cam on it. The cam will push on a lever that is spring loaded to stay on the cam. As the drum rotates the cam pushes on the lever changing the distance of the attachment point to the frame. For the e153 i will have 2 different cams and 2 different llevers as the e153 uses 2 cables to drive the trans into gears. The g series version will have only one cam. I have the basics of the design modeled and working on paper. I have to refine the design to a production level quality and start testing. More info later on this if it ever becomes more then some crazy thought!

    Im hoping to have Britstiva finished and delivered in the next couple weeks. If so Lucifer will become the next big project. I cant wait.

    I think with the help of Carlos we will hit my hp goals easy. I know its gonna be fast either way.

    This project has taken a big step forward. I have placed the order for the trans. I have the adapter plate, and i have a clutch kit already modified to fit that im getting used. The rest of the items will roll in slowly as the budget allows.

    I think i will make a dedicated shelf for lucifer parts! You know to keep me motivated.

    Keep an eye out on the e153 swap thread for all the actual trans related issues and fixes i run into. WIll have a complete writeup on that once im done.

    Thats pretty slick. I only had one photo of a timeslip on my phone but it came out to 60.5hp
    Looks like my bald walmart 12in tires cost me 2.5hp on that run

    Easy horse power estimation can be done with standing start 1/4 mile trap speed . {measured quarter mile top speed divided by 234} to the 3rd power x vehicle weight=horsepower

    That should be in the ballpark I'm sure you knew that, but some people may not. Sorry I do not know how to write math formulas the right way on a P.C. so if some one can edit that that would be awesome

    No. the stock camry axles are susposed to fit right up. The e153 is hydro clutch release tho. So i will have to source several parts to make that system work. Plus all the other mods that will need to happen to make this all work out. Its gonna be a battle thats for sure. Its also going to take quite some time.

    I have pulled the trigger on the new bp build. I have ordered the e153 to bp adapter plate. Now i have to start sloly gathering parts for the build. THis is going to take a very long time.

    The current goal for lucifer is to go back to a stock turbo setup. Stock everything including the ecu. I will get back to Lucifer one Britstiva is built. SO for now it just sits in the garage looking good. In the near future it will be just a b6t swap. In the long run it will be high hp bp+t with e153 trans.

    Main reason for the trans swap is the desire to have more power. I am fully used to the power of overkill at 20psi. I need more. but i want it in my clean and pretty car Lucifer and i want to be able to beat on it without fear.

    I loved the power overkill had when i bought it. But now that setup isgone and its an autocross setup now. I miss the power. My new goal is to finish the autocross build and learn to drive that car...(haha like that will happen) and the 2nd goal is to finish Lucifer and get it on the road to a point that i will truly be happy with its performance.

    Overkill will become the autocross only car! Lucifer will become the new daily. Thats kinda been the plan from the start of buying overkill. Anyway the actual details of each have changed a ton from when i got them. Overkill was gonna go b6t but its still bpt but now has an LSD diff.

    Lucifer is able to be put back together right now but i am selling the parts off of it to fund the new build. Actually Lucifer has been put back together many times however i keep changing my mind on what i want in it. Plus i am selling anything i can to help fund the next build.

    The new goal for Lucifer is to go Carlos Built BPT. The plan is to solly gather the parts on my end for the build while i have him build the new motor. I have been pushing my offroad buggy hard core. Once it sells ill have carlos build the motor. In the mean time i have to gather everything else. Its all the small stuff thats adding up. I coppied my list of major items over. I have already started to order some of it. no going back now. Just gotta get the stuff and sell my other toy.
