Just bring me Lucifer I'll make him all better ^_^
By the way figured out what's wrong with my ecu...diode popped off its post. Need to solder it back together. Might need replaced. Might still be bad even after that. But it's obvious.

idle valve is fixed. I still dont have the DV on the car. I need to find a reduce or something so i can adapt to my valve.

Also, restricting the exhaust and adding pressure is a really bad plan. You'll increase cylinder temps and pressure without gaining much. It's a really good way to burn your piston tops away.
Remember, boost doesn't make HP without flow.
Also, water meth injection will help the turbo spool quicker if you set it up correctly.

I messed around with the exhaust just now. I welded a big washer to a pipe reducer and stuck it in the tail pipe on lucifer. It made it hold 11 psi all day long!!! But the washer had an opening of only 7/8". This weekend im gonna try the same style reducer but with a longer pipe in it and the pipe will be like 2" x 6". im looking for the right amount of back pressure but not to much. Gonna have to play with it. It helped the boost but hurt the nn boost power. This weekend ill find the right amount. Once i have the exhaust to a good level i might try to turn up the boost a bit. With it choked down i think ill need to run like 15psi in order to have my fun.
End of the day i can tell you i will be switching out for the garret gt 2560. This twisted wedge turbo might be a good idea for a 1.8 bp build but not the 1.6 I like the turbo. Its good but its just to big.
either that or hook up nos to get me going! but thats way way more then i can handle- baby steps. I need to get this setup to a point that im ok with it then work on getting an actual garret turbo into the car. Once i get a bp for Britstiva i might use this turbo for that car! but its not right for Lucifer.
Im sure my ms kit could help things out but i dont think it will help out enough! turbo is just to big.

Thanks to all those at madness that helped show me what to do on the car.

Lucifer made it to and from madness!!! I did miss the last and final autocross of the year for my area tho. Lucifer still needs work but it lives.
The IAC is routed wrong. It dumps my boost back to the intake on the filter side. As of now its like a giant 1" boost leak. Once i fix that problem ill spool up way sooner. Right now i have little boost and then boom it all hit at 4500rpm. Once the IAC is right i might spool up way faster. I build 5psi very very quick but it all leaks off. So i dont feel boost untill overcome the leak. Ill do a review on the turbo once i have felt what it can actually do!
It sounds so so good tho. The exhaust needs work and is loud but its ok for now. The turbo sounds are just great! I love them! Will have to work on the wifes audi for the next few days but ill be back on Lucifer very soon.

Very true. Tweaks bearings went over 100k and didn't go bad, we just replaced them for piece of mind. The trick is the bearing preload. I've built a lot of these hubs and never had a set I didn't have to play with different shims to get it right.

You don't need the right tools more than you need to know how to assemble it. If you don't assemble it right you will replace it real fast

Its pretty simple if you have the correct tools which I did but that was the first one I had done by myself successfully and I just pushed the Wheel Seal in to far but it should be okay. I think the worse thing that could happen is that I get water in there and the bearing goes bad and I have to replace it.

A wheel bearing is pretty simple. I have done a ton of them on jeeps. I would think it the same idea but smaller for the festiva.

I should but I didn't even think about it... I just replaced mine but I didn't know exactly what I was doing to be honest and I pressed the Wheel Seal into the hub on one sidebut I have looked a couple times and I don't see any grease leaking out of the back and Iv'e driven for about 600 miles and haven't noticed a problem yet so I think it is still sealed properly. :banghead:
