It will have the b6 in the car this summer. Definitely don't think I could keep up with the guy with that. (this May)

With the B6T next year I'll be on the hunt. Its a built ls3 fd with ohlins coilovers, AP brakes, and a bunch of development. Driver is amazing too. His Achilles heel is he's always on street tires so all that brake and engine don't really matter. He usually takes FTD at our local lapping events.

The Miata took the FD down by just fractions of a second. Hoping the festy can do the same!

The thing is my Miata is sorted. Will have to spend time in the festiva to get used to it.

You need that B6t to be king of the park Julian. lol.

What's the name of that track you run? Are there any videos of the LS FD?
The FD may have more money in brakes than you'll have into your Festiva, but don't let that get to ya. Set up correctly, you'll barely even use your tiny little brakes.

I will possibly need more then the b6t my friend hahaha This guy is one hell of a driver.

here is a video of him driving, You can tell his tires are his greatest disadvantage but hes pretty set on using street tires forever, being its a street car.

These things were so easy to assemble, actually assembled them in a suit. Was on the way home from work and couldnt wait to do it:

You should be able to auto drain that catch can into the oil pan. Replace the petcock valve with a hose barb or AN fitting.

I might run without for a bit so I can monitor how much blow by then drain it

Are you going to vent the block? It's very important to vent the block, but it'll fill that can fast. There is a lot of oily vapor due to the oil squirters on that engine. It may look like excessive blow by, but it's normal. That's why the factory equipped the b6t with a self draining air oil separator in countries that would allow it.

Your catch can and block are all set up to do it, just buy a piece of hose (16mm iirc) and a 90 degree fitting for the bigger inlet on your can. Easy peasy. The block is all set up with a bung already there from Mazda.

Hmmmm. hmmmmmm Julian does this explain all the financial and banking scandals of the past few years? Accountants routinely transfer resources from one project to another to make things look good?

Regarding your lovely catch can, I installed a similar one on my B6T to reduce the blow by collection I was getting through the top of the head. I used the Factory tap for collection on the side of the block, just below and off to the side of the oil filter post. The Miata and B6T have this port, the block in the MX3 does not. And I used the drain feed back into the oil pan that the B6T pan has (but the Miata does not) from the bottom of the catch can, with brass fittings in the bottom to allow the stopcock valve to still be there and pass down into the hose to the oil pan. (I think you may have seen that set up when I was talking to you about my blow by problem a few years ago.)
It greatly reduced the amount collected from the head, from 1 L per race to a quarter litre per weekend.

The picture below shows the location of the two ports, which normally have big rubber caps on them. I never did take a picture of the catch can setup. But it is probably the prettiest part in my engine bay!
