REVIVAL so name change omega is a cool word but eh doesn't flow so the 89 is it's temp name

So the BP from festiver will be the power plant followed by my old whiny g15 for now

I'm doing a chemical bath on the engine right now to get the black paint off

Also today I'm stripping my aspire rear beam to do a disk swap and to do clean up and paint

Gonna try to keep my weekend momentum up while it's warm I miss driving a fast festie
You fella can holler if I start slacking lol

I went through my stash of parts a lot left when I sold the black car but I still have plenty that I don't need lol but the sky opened up when I had all of my stuff out and organized so I had to rush clean up [emoji52]

      Everything is ordered for wiring
      Sensors
      500ft of 5 different color wire 16g

A custom cluster that I'll have to save the details till it's done

      My order of operations is

Build my harness (I consider the most difficult part)

Suspension clean up refreshing and rear disk swap

Mock engine and trans for new custom mounts

I will be buying a rod of 70a poly to machine to what I want

That'll get me to the point of body and paint so right now this is all i see

Rear disc swap? It sounds like a lot of unnecessary work and money. As little weight that sits on the rear axle I believe your time and money could be spent better elsewhere such as materials for paint and body. Good luck with your project, keep us posted/.
'88 Festiva LX 5 speed, A/C, Carb, restored $$$ body paint, badly wrecked @ 200k.
'93 Festiva L, 5 speed, Aqua, bought from the original owner,.Zero rust but very nasty otherwise. Awaits the B6T.
'91 Festiva L, 5 speed, bought to drive while putting the B6T in the '93. now B6ME powered.

Hey yeah it's not the braking power I'm looking for more aesthetic and ease of maintenance but I see what you're saying thanks though

Yeah that's my plan now I'm not an expert on the matter more research is needed but 70a poly should be hard enough to turn and drill I want stiff mounts not solid

                An update

Yesterday I picked up what I'll need for the rear disk swap minus adapters

I labeled every wire coming off the turn signal/wiper stalk which was my biggest issue with the wiring

Big thanks to bravekozak for sending me the wiring diagrams

Fixed the turn signal return on my intermittent wiper assembly

I'm gonna keep track of everything I do and spend on the rear disk swap it's not looking like a very difficult project so far but I won't underestimate it also I'll post a cad drawing of the adapter needed

Last night all my parts came in for my custom cluster so I'm extremely excited to play with that tonight

Weigh all your parts for the rear disc swap carefully as well. The only way that would interest those who are "performance minded" here is if it's lighter than the festiva drum setup, which is unlikely, but possible!

Ok, so youll machine them the shape you want and then press them into the mount?
Machinability depends on other things too, there can be a big variation of properties on different 70a materiels. Tear strength, elongation %, tensile modulus, tensile strength and so on can be quite different with different 70a materiels.

That's more of a science then I've gotten to lol but that's my idea so far I'm thinking it's going to be shaped like a stock mounts or something like that besides the rear trans mount

I really cant wait to see how these brakes turn out, discs all around will look rad. I wonder what effect the rear discs will have on track width.

Me neither lol the track width will grow I'm going to try and keep it within an inch wider than the aspire beam but I'll be going back to the festi beam itself I'm not sure if it's skinnier but it's something to check

Ok, i only deal with 2 component urethanes that you mix and pour, ive never bought bars of it. I think ive used one 70a that might possibly be machinable, the rest not. But the stuff you buy in flexy bars might have way different properties. How hard is it to machine it to the right size to press in?

Hmmm 70a is looking like a pain to turn I could make the heavily clearanced hss tool easily though 95a is looking like my future I'm not gonna go for delrin though that's too hard
