They sell little car shape stickers of different performance cars that alot of people put in their rear side windows as kill marks. Alot of my roadcourse buddies, put the track layout sticker in their window as a kill sticker too.

i think if i started putting those stickers on my car of other cars i've beaten, i'd already have a good list going and i've only gotten started

Thats exactly why im on this forum. Sometimes its nice to roll around town. Other nights it just fun to grab some attention. All in good... safe... fun. Thats why i have yet to get a "real car" as people say. This thing is a miracle!

I "raced" an old beat up s10 the other day. The rusted out truck was missing exhaust or something and was beyond obnoxious, and the redneck moron inside thought it would be cool to try to chirp tires leaving a stop light. I was annoyed with the noise and blew past him in 2nd, and kept him behind me.

probably most everone here has done some street racing, in their long or short lives. being 52, i remember those days. i agree its become a bigger thing, and easier to get caught and stiffer fines now than back in the dark ages. worse still in canada, i guess.

even talking of safe short runs, reminds me of these 2 docs racing up the main street in omaha on a peaceful sunday morning, one gunning in front of another, doing about 60 or so. one of them lost it and ended up toast right there, left a widow and 6 kids. so becareful, even if it seems safe, never know what can happen.

seems like they should be making new cars more hot on mpg's rather than horsepower. good luck at the track.

Nice kill!! I have to admit I am also guilty (quilty? ) of the 0-60 dash in many of my earlier years.
In the old days though, my cars had NOTHING in comparison to now so...
Temptation would be far too high for me, ESPECIALLY when you know full well what's under the hood.

I think this day will come once more...

Cool you made some new friends out of it though! And DEFINITELY agree on the vids. Would love to see them when you get to the track!

I had an 02 Beetle Turbo S for a while. Couldn't keep the thing under 115. Dunno what was wrong with it.

Know what you mean, drove my mother in law's 99, driving a back road near her house in SC, thought I was going 55-60. Looked down, and I was going 90.

Nice kill, Damkid. Can't wait to see the results from the strip.

Yeah... I loved that car, even though I hate a lot on some Beetles. I came back home one morning to see the telltale kidnapping signs of a repo man... Her claws were out, she was screaming "NO, NO GOD NO DON'T TAKE ME!" 'cause her locked down rear wheels were dragged out the driveway, down the road, and down the Mister Fresh interstate almost 60 miles... It was my wife's car, and it still hurts her deeply that they took it. Long story. That's why I'm damn proud I paid way too much for my Festiva, but it's MINE! Paid for! Somebody hold me... hahahahaha...
