I am not trying to be rude, but true bragging rights come from track slips. That V6tiva has not yet run 12 seconds. It should be able to do it, but it hasn't yet done it. Therefore I would feel more safe doing a BP or BPT swap into a Festiva. Good luck with the turbo swap.

That's why I don't brag about my track times cause I know it's not the fastest festiva, maybe the fastest N/A, but not the overall fastest

I'm really surprised Chris. Can you slap some really wide slicks on it just for the track? Is it just a traction issue?

Traction isn't too bad, it's the clutch that is my weak point, I'll be ordering a new clutch before spring so with that alone I'll hit 13's garenteed

So what's with the clutch slipping? You just put everything together. The trans is designed for the power it's receiving from the engine. The load on the clutch was decreased by several hundred pounds when it moved from from the 2500 lb probe? To the 1700 pound festy. Was the clutch new? Sure you've been running it hard but still you just got it all together. Just curious.

I had to re-use the clutch I got from the probe parts car I bought, but due to time and money constraints I never got the flywheel resurfaced either so the clutch has been weak as hell since day one, when I get a new clutch I will get the flywheel resurfaced this time so I don't have clutch issues this year

Hey Chris, when you went to the track, did you drive the car on to the scales?

...and I know I must have asked before, but how much extra weight did the 'ZE add?

^ I don't know exact numbers, but I've read that the ZE isn't much heavier than a BP

I would think it would be quite a bit heavier. Two more cylinders, another head with two more cams...

There was one time I went across a scale (at a scrapyard) and it said 2260lbs with me in it, I weigh approx 150lbs and if I remember right I had half tank of gas, the scales looked pretty old so I dunno how accurate they were though

And I moved my spare KL by hand around my garage and did the same with my B6T, the KL didn't feel much different in weight
