      Here you go

      some research
Discuss making performance enhancements to the OEM-spec engine in your Festiva or Aspire.

      The start

      The initial build thread
Members Builds (questions about repair or how to do something belong in the proper forum)

And the turbo thread (still in progress )

      1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
      1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

I see you getting faster and faster without getting faster if that makes sense. The suspension think tank is really making me alter my purchases.

This. Exactly what I was thinking. Nearly 200hp pulling well under 2k lbs and only a 14 second pass? You ain't kiddin' when you say you had no grip, I guess.

Is it set up to drag, or just a street suspension having fun for a day?
Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

Fine, but all the extra weight is over the grippers, yes? Maybe you need the "cat in heat" stance someone was talking about.

Nah, a set of slicks should be all I'll need, Friday night the humidity was very high and they don't prep the track on a friday night unfortunately which obviously didn't help me at all

Yeah if you can cut a 1.9xx you will reap a whole new set of numbers to try and beat next time. I would first try and get some used slicks with half life left off CL. The honda sizes already mounted on wheels should be around on craigslist all day long. You may want a taller tire too, whatever can still fit, that may help the overall tranny ratio. On the other hand a smaller tire can help spinning issues because its easier to "catch up" when you modulate clutch and throttle. Since you are the one driving you would know what's happening to you realtime.

I was browsing kijijI and may have found a decently priced set of used slicks, just gotta wait for a response

Just put 1 50lb barbell weight on the frame over each wheel. 200lbs should help with traction.
