  • Ideas to improve the fastest festiva's lists

So it has been brought up a couple times now about an N/A festiva with nitrous and how it's not fully an N/A car since nitrous is a "power adder"

I personally feel as though nitrous cars should be allowed on the N/A list.... i mean boosted cars can crank up the boost to help them, so why not nitrous on an N/A car to help them as well

So to keep the best interest of the members of the forum, i'm asking for everyone's input

Do i change the "Boosted festiva" list to "Festiva's with power adders" or leave it as-is?
    39
    Boosted Festiva's
    43.59%
    17
    Festiva's with power adders
    56.41%
    22

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Also, another thought that i have been thinking about lately, mainly with reference to my festiva

I currently hold the fastest N/A time..... when i have my turbo setup running and start making new times in the Boosted list, should i keep my N/A time there? or should it get deleted since i won't have that setup anymore?

I'm leaning towards leaving my N/A time there only for the ones that may one day do a KL swap and want to beat my time

    Thoughts?

I'd say keep it there, until it's beaten your still "the man"!

leave there, non boosted time & boosted time, i think the nitrous is bad news b/c you will have more than enough hp with just the turbo added. unless you have a forged crank & pistons kabooooom! jmo

used in small shots, and with a good tune its not very harmful to an engine. could also cool very hot air at higher PSI, IF damkid decides to go that high.(we all want more!!!)

There's a lot of cars on those lists that aren't around anymore. Why delete them.

The ones I don't care for are the ones that don't have proof. Or have very unspecific details about the pass like no MPH or a single decimal ET.

Nitrous is a power adder. Naturally aspirated is all motor and nothing else. Its not like the NA cars are competing with boosters. That's why there's separate lists.

I think they should still all be combined. It's generally a choice if you want to run NA or boosted. The fastest Festiva is the fastest Festiva regardless of engine, aspiration, or fuel.
              Current cars:

1993 Ford Festiva 5-Speed - Festiclese III - Cousin of the Banhammer - "The Jalopnik Car"
              1984 Toyota Cressida - 2JZGE Swap, Turbocharged.
2013 Mazda Mazda2 - Exhaust and Wheels (the daily)
              2002 Toyota Tundra - V6/Auto/2WD - The Tow Vehicle.

I think its fine to leave nos cars under the na category, as long as they state they were using the nos. I know I would hate to be running my car and wondering how in the world somebody else managed to get a na bp to run that fast lol
89 L, hopefully returning from the dead soon with a little more power...

N/A is always no power adders.
Super chargers, turbos & nitrous are considered power adders.

At least that's how its looked at in the racing world.

I clicked boosted just cause it sounded cooler and I didn't open the poll yet but I have always thought nitrous was in the same boat as turbo's and superchargers.

nos should have their own category or be included to the boosted list. its a power adder and should not considered naturally aspirated.
I know its a piece of crap but im still faster...and its 100% legal!!!!!

Nos is a power adder, if you have enough guys running nos to justify it's own category, I'd say do it.. or add them to the turbo'd list, it's not really fair, in my opinion, to have guys beefing up all motor cars and get blown away by a power adder. I'm not on any of those lists, so my opinion is just that of an outsider and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Also i'd definately leave your times on there, some of the other guys aren't around any more, but their times are still there!

Well the voting is 50/50 but majority of the comments are saying to put the nitrous cars with the boosted times, so I'll let this run a bit longer but if nothing changes, I'll change it so the nitrous cars are in the boosted list

Make it power adders like you said....covers boosted and nos. Although I agree nos is still NA if on that type of car....we do not call a turbo'ed car anything different when it has nos on it.
