noone wants an actuall solution to the problem they just want everyone to shut up go home sit in front of the tv and play cod. i dont want to do that i want to have some fun and cause some trouble from time to time all the interesting adults i know have stories of adventure ill be one of them thank you
Mechanicsburg Wal-Mart (Carlisle Pike, US 11) used to 'host' a weekend car show every week for anyone that wanted to show up. As long as we didn't rip the place up or have burnout contests or disturb anyone, they didn't bother us. They even ran off the cops once or twice, telling them that we were "told" we could be there by the management (even though no such thing ever happened).

It moved from there down to the old "Carpet Mart" building just under the RT581 bridge, where someone eventually got stabbed over the result of an illegal contest of speed on the pike earlier that day. Haven't heard if anyone still goes down there or not. The Wal-Mart here in Horseheads, NY does something similar. One of the few reasons I still support Wal-Mart, they're somewhat pro-active in allowing civil activity.

LOL know thats a good idea! Cops roll up, "Oh we're not racing we are hosting a demonstrational protest, the racing is part of the acting."

The right to *peaceably* assemble is not gonna cover your attendance at a planned or organized illegal event.

The recognized intent in the constitutional text is not to protect your right to be at, or view illegal events. The explicit intent is, in fact, to protect your right to protest or petition legal entities and actions.

You /might/ get away with it if you and a group of others were holding protest signs (Street racing is baaadd... MMk.) but it'd be a stretch, at best.

Street drag racing was big in Ottawa in the mid to late 60s and early 70s. All straight line stuff with American iron. Everyone met and compared cars at the donut shop on Carling Avenue. Cops continually tried to break it up but that only increased the overall appeal. Ultimately some smart thinker (these kind of people are extremely rare in gov'ts) at the City used water trucks to wet the main intersections all along the main drag (wonder where that term comes from) every evening. That put an end to all of the burnouts and smoke shows in no time flat and street racing quickly fizzled out.
Now of course they threaten everybody with fines, jail time and vehicle impoundment and unattainable insurance rates for almost anything. I'm very glad not to have been born and raised during this age and time.

I'm not sure about attending events, but there's probably a law against attendance at "organized" illegal events, too.

No, sir. Accelerating too quickly here can be billed as racing. The terms are taken literally as "a contest between one or more vehicles", meaning that it can be a time trial sort of thing for just one driver/vehicle. To make it worse, if there's anyone else in the vehicle, even with that person's explicit consent, you can be charged with reckless endangerment as well.

I've been through this already with the state in attempting to defend myself against street racing charges.

In that case, I was involved in a drag race with a 70-year-old woman... I was the passer, and she must not've taken her meds...

How about a truckstiva with an f2t? Seems fitting. Uhizit, your car must light the tires while just breathing on the accelerator. From your signature picture it looks like an excellent swap, very OEM.
