PS - According to many states' legal definition of street racing, we've ALL done it. Ever sped up to get clearance in front of someone so you could get over on the highway? Yep, you've street raced. Welcome to the club, haters.

For reference, PA defines "racing" as:

"Race." The use of one or more vehicles in an attempt to
outgain, outdistance or prevent another vehicle from passing, to
arrive at a given destination ahead of another vehicle or
vehicles, or to test the physical stamina or endurance of
drivers over long distance driving routes.

This can be found in Title 75, §3367.

Notice that it says "one or more". You can be charged with "racing on highways" even if you're the only car participating in the "Race".

If you go to pass someone on a 2 lane, and they speed up, and you continue you pass them, even if neither of you have exceeded the PSL, you're DRAG RACING.

If you speed up on an entrance ramp unreasonably, you're RACING.

By this definition, WE'VE ALL RACED ON PUBLIC ROADS AT SOME POINT.

Show me a guy that hasn't, and I'll show you a liar.
I think you missed the wording....The use of one or more vehicles in an attempt to
outgain, outdistance or prevent another vehicle from passing
meaning that it is at least 2 vehicles. One or more means that there is possibly 3 or more car involved. 1 car speeding....is speeding, not racing.

Did I somehow miss the build thread on your car uhuzit? I would love to do a F2 (N/A) festiva someday.

Every green light is a race to the speed limit, and I typically win. If I'm front row at an intersection it's go time. Maybe it's irresponsible, but I have fun. Nothing like beating high dollar stockers off the line! The more people I pass, the more people get to see my logos. Am I endangering anyone doing this? I don't think so. Then again, I live in a town where turn signals and functional brake lights are totally optional so what could I know about unsafe driving practices.

Besides, how else would I figure out that I can out-pull the grand prix?

I've had several wrecks. None were while pushing it, and one was pulling out of a gas station. And I've dodged tons of possibles. Old people can't drive here for sewage floaters.

I'm such a relaxed person that if I'm not pushing it I wreck, I guess. Perhaps I should start street racing for my own good.

6 car pile up in Orlando lastnight left 1 guy critically injured. Street racing.

I got caught pulling on 2 rx8's one night. The other guys ran, I stopped. $1,500 for a lawyer 3 months probation. I told the judge I sold the car to spare me from having it taken. The court wasn't after the car they wanted me in jail for 3 months. It's not really worth it.

Also a guy was walking across the street and got hit by a taxi and killed lastnight. The taxi driver was uncharged. Just goes to show, people get into "accidents" everyday. People street race everyday. Not everyday does someone die or get hurt. The outcome is never the same.

Should we ban walking across the street now or driving at night?

I used to attend all the Milwaukee street races with my festiva. Why? Its free and the rush of running from the police. We have 5-6 spots around the Milwaukee area, we go from spot to spot usually getting busted everywhere eventually. The cops simply just tell us to leave. All these spots have been around since the 50's.

I love spirited driving, twisties, a little red light draggin. I don't always do it, I keep myself in check but unfortunately you can't always predict other people do or whats going to happen down the road. Tell you what though I just started driving the 5 speed again and man what a difference as how it pulls vs the 3 speed that feels like a cvt.
