I'll give it a go as well, posted this all up for March, and then noticed that March's was over.
This is the first shot I think I took every of the car... we'll use this as the starting point..
Had the Festiva for about 7 weeks now, and she was pressed into DD status before she was really ready. Still haven't gotten a name for the car, but I'm narrowing down towards "Farmstiva" or "Stiv" based off what's left of the Festiva decal I have still..
The car is a "farmer's field special" where the car had lived for about two years. Three previous owners ago appeared to be a mom or something, then a local guy bought (or got) the car, who gave it to his brother-in-law to fix up for his wife. Had a five speed in it originally I believe, but it's sort of been converted over to auto by him because the wife doesn't do standard. In the end, she decided not to drive Festiva either, so the plywood "For SAle" sign went up.
Saw her at the same time as the station wagon, and made arrangements to get both, with the Festiva being eyed as a DD for me for the 90 mile commute. Became imperative to drive it when the brakes failed on my minivan (and it got traded in towards the new truck for the wife) and the station wagon came off the road.
Came with a few quirks (my dash is in metric btw so I'm doing just below 60mph on a flat road with no traffic, and that is the key from the ignition.. fixed now):
Turns out that the key I got for the car was for a Suburu, and when the lock managed to get locked, all of a sudden I couldn't drive the car. Got a new one cut. Drivers side window was so bound up that the handle crank nub is busted off.. passengers side is okay.
The car doesn't like cold temperatures very much.. and I'm getting surging and issues when the temp gauge drops below minimum normal range. But I coax it to and from work in a 180km/111 mile daily commute.
Until I can get the drivers side lock graphited, I'm still using the farmers latch to keep the door locked in the city..
Missing the radio
But it's starting to clean up well!
plus the new Red LED tailights are in..
So there you go.. my work in progress..Carz:

225996.9 kilometers = 140428.0 miles on the odometer
...and definitely more soon..

^^the farmers latch is pretty funny
1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor
1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)
If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

This is why I was entering for March initially.. thought that that was still open, and my car definitely fit the "rough" type catagory called for in March's competition.
Going against a field of finished and polished vehicles, I don't hold much for her chances.. but so far, I'd definitely put this car up with the Mercury Bobcat I used to own for being a fun vehicle to drive.Carz:
