the 88/89 were a different shade of red. My car had a 88/89 shade red door/fender and it was noticeable.

Well the door(before it got wrecked) was already a different shade of red since it had been repainted once before. I planned on repainting the car anyways.

Looks like a pretty solid parts car. I'd just throw the dented parts from your other car on it, fix the head gasket and sell it whole. It would be a good little commuter for somebody, and you could probably get $350 back out of it, and keep another Festiva on the road.

Sorry to hear about the accident, that sucks. Its look like its going to work out OK though with the parts car you found and all. Its still a shame. I might be interested in the old style side molding if you decide to sell some parts. Good luck getting it fixed.

To bad about your car. Glad youre ok. You really cant beat that deal on the parts car. Youre gonna be way ahead to do it yourself. That new door and fender should shine up nice with some compound and wax.
You mentioned the door was maybe bent down. One thing you might do is try to bend it back up close before you take the bad door off. open it just far enough to use a jack or something. Easier than trying to bend just the hinge. Just a thought. Let us know how it works out.
