  • MARKETING:WhatIF Mazda 121 was sold here instead of Fest

What would it have been like if the Ford Festiva would have been sold as the Mazda 121 DA instead in North America ?

    Thoughts anyone ?

    121 here

I agree on all the points made, I think I would have rather seen, something more along the lines of what japan saw, still a ford festiva, but with a lot more options including the GTX and GTA marketed through a different mazda/ford dealer like they did with Autorama in Japan.
I really wish the GTA especially would have sold here, I love that rare beast.

Those sound like fair assumptions Rich.

I have an old magazine that mentions Ford's potential interest in offering the twin cam head on the Festiva. It was either Car & Driver or Motor Trend, I believe. Just a little blurb...that never came to pass, like Chevy's interest in a 2.8 V6 Chevette that was also published as a damn teaser.
