Never had a problem with my HLA's. Have previously experienced a valve tap a couple of years...about 110K...when I removed the rocker ass'y and rockers...one of the rocker bore's had scored with a small scab of aluminum. Picked it out with an exacto and stoned it smooth. No problems since.

A llitle trick...if I pull the HLA's...I re-insert the HLA into the rocker while submerged in clean engine oil and then paint all the contact areas of the rocker ass'y with a little moly.
