Good evening people,
First I'd like to quickly introduce myself,
I'm Jurre, i'm an 18 year old car mechanic student from the Netherlands. Since a kid i was fascinated with all things mechanical and electrical, i was told that when i was a kid i'd spend more time investigating things like toy cars and seeing how they worked than playing with them.
So around 2 and a half months ago i got my driving license and went out on a Saturday to a car dealer to test drive a Suzuki Wagon R+ (i know it's a horrible car but i like the quirkyness of them), but decided not to buy it. Me and my mom went to some other dealerships and talking to the people who worked at the places we visited
I got talking with someone about my education, after some while he said maybe I've got something you will find interesting, we walked to the rear of his shop while he told me he wanted to scrap the car. I looked around the corner and there it was, a 1999 Kia Pride, in a fairly good condition, with only 85.000 Kilometres on the clock!
(roughly converts to only 53.000 miles for most of the members on the forums)
It had been sitting for some time, probably for about 2-3 years.
I immediately got excited and thought to myself, this is going to be my first car, he said he wanted 300 euro's for it, which i paid him immediately. I did the usual maintenance an got APK (like MOT), only had to replace the brake shoes in the rear and some minor things like getting everything moving again, rust had really locked a lot of things up
Ive already drove around 3500 Kilometres and starting to love the car more and more!
