Shall I Buy A Second Festiva for $200 to $300?

Here is the damage report after I talked to the owner's dad.

Windshield Wiper Motor is gone.

The engine uses or loses oil, I suspect it will need to be rebuilt.

or maybe my replaced with a tricked out 1800cc DOHC Mazda engine.

Headlights Assembly need replaced.

One flat tire.

Battery needed.

Do you still think it is worth $200 to $300?

Yes. It's totally worth it. If nothing else it would be a great parts car or basis for a swap, but it would be my guess that the engine may just need a seal/gasket or two. You can find the headlights and wiper motors in junkyards, or here. Tires are cheap for these cars, and just about any battery is good enough to crank them even cold. I still say go for it.

Yes it's still worth it. I have the wiper motor and one headlight. PM if interested. I'd offer him $150 and give him up to $300 if he sticks to his guns.

Thats what I was when this deal came my way on the Festiva Im getting.SHOCKED When you see em for sale theyre either up North or out West. Ive only seen a few around here and the people that have em sure aint partin with em.

Yep, these is a shocking find. Maybe there were not many sold in the Humid east, south or hot desert southwest. You know the air conditioning would have put a big strain on these little engines.

I suppose I should not part it out. I got a good rebuilt engine in my Yellow Feistiva. When I wear out that suspension and bang up the body. Then I'll do a "heart transplant."

My car freshtiva has had a/c since day and mile one. Never seemed to bother it a bit. It still blows cold. Been recharged once but Ive never replaced an a/c part on it in the 15 years Ive owned it. The car and the a/c both run perfect with 183,000 miles on them.
