88/89 seem to be better optioned than the 90/93. The best of both worlds is to find a 89 with auto, which is FI, then convert it to a 5spd.

the problem with the 88/89 is the dang carburetors! they are so annoying! its dang near impossible to get them to run right once they start doing weird stuff. i wish somebody could figure out how to put something simple on there--or figure out how to fix the original! maybe an easy FI swap (likely impossible).89 L, hopefully returning from the dead soon with a little more power...

I dig my 88L. Interior is really nice. Carb motors have pep, stock for stock faster then FI(but not as convinient). Body is in decent shape.
My car came with am/fm+cassette, rear defrost, A/C(opt.), dealer installed chrome exhaust tip, and floor mats.
But now I have 210k miles, 4 completely worn tires, LX cluster, console, map pockets, 6.5'' speakers, map/dome light, Protege LX mirrors, and other misc.
I got the aspire swap ready to go, but want to try and incorporate Protege LX brakes into my car(will be a mad how-to if I do!).
